They're flipping clueless, joined from Grimsby town 18 months ago. Celebrated one year in charge last week.

That's very clever F.C.

Sunderland my bottom! Who does he think he is? He's done nowt yet, achieved the absolute bare minimum at Town and took his time doing it, we only finished 4th in the Conference FFS!

He's no chance of the Sunderland job. Done nowt at Shewsbury either, just started well that's all. It's barely November!

It's a third of the way through the season and he's sitting 7 points clear of third place in League One. With Shrewsbury. They're no bigger than us in terms of fan base. A year ago when he took over they looked certain to go down. So he's hardly "done nothing" there.

Looking forward to a brighter future now Fenty has gone.

They're 3 places above Shrewsbury in the pyramid, he's not putting himself forward for the Barcelona job.

If he really wants to go to a club with ambition why not let him come here-Slade could always apply for the Sunderland job-that would kill 3 birds with one stone-then we could be in the same division as Sunderland .

If he didn’t go and won promotion at Shrewsbury he’d have won promotion at all 4 clubs he’ managed which would make him if interested to a club like Sunderland who will have to be careful what they spend.

Some people are in denial about just how good PH is. He's been a manager around 10 years, done well at every club, never been sacked, challenged for promotion numerous times and everywhere he's gone gates have risen (which will resonate with chairmen). He's almost certainly going to manage at at least Championship level before long, possibly higher. He might be small, have a provincial accent, not have been a great player, but he's certainly making huge strides as a manager. We were lucky to have had him.
