Some great ideas so thought worthy of a separate thread.

I personally like the idea of everyone going to a non league game near Stevenage on the same day.

Hitchin Town are very nearby and a half decent stadium and sure would welcome 700 Town fans or whatever we would take in view of the scandal if fixtures were kind.

A crowd funder towards furthering the legal action required to take this higher and not rely on the useless EFL would be better. Some more widespread media coverage and a higher branch of legal types taking it on would soon budge the EFL and get them onside, at the risk of them looking like they are ok with what went on.

I doubt they could accommodate 700 TBH, we’d have to give them notice if we went down to Hitchin in new numbers. They’ve had some stuff to deal with in recent history with one of their players completely over stepping the mark on social media in a totally spiteful & unacceptable way, the difference is unlike their neighbors they booted the ignorant tw@t out of the club.

You’ve got a choice Hitchin, Biggleswade, Hertford and Arlsey all have non league teams who would really benefit from the level of income a visit from a few hundred Town fans would generate

Realistically how many town fans are going to travel hundreds of miles to watch two teams they've never heard of? The fixture might not be for another 18 months anyway by which time it will have lost any momentum. The time to act is here and now before it is allowed to be brushed under the carpet

i'm not being funny and don't get me wrong the Aluko situation was bad, but i think this is just as bad if not worse.  Why aren't the FA investigating this but the EFL?

Crows funding idea is good. Regards to a game local to them instead, my personal opinion is it's pointless. If you're desperate for a football fix on the day we play away at Stevenage next season go watch Clee Town or Grimsby borough with a radio head piece in

Isn't that how we always respond to mistreatment by other clubs though? By filling their away end the next time and giving them a profit.

No it isn’t. The inflatable invasion wasn’t after mistreatment at Barnet. The mariachi band wasn’t in response to mistreatment,  is was in response to a ban on inflatables.
But hey Kris don’t let that stop you having a dig at our own fans yet again !!

I would be very very surprised (and disappointed) if there isn’t a vast reduction of our fans at Stevenage next season.

Spend the week prior to next years fixture bagging up our following, saying 2000 are turning up on the day and paying on the gate, then when they've hired in extra "gestapo" stewards at a few thousand pounds not one of us go, that way they spend money and get no income from us.

I think there will be a strong chance if we go there next season it will be all ticket for away fans and a small allocation.

Away fans are treated as an inconvenience. The likes of Stevenage would love it if there weren't any so to not go is to play into their hands. Plus away fans help the team, surely that's the point of going.

I'm not so sure they'd be too chuffed at losing £20k in revenue from one of their biggest away days, personally. For a club of their (small) stature, that's a decent sum of money. If one or two others followed suit, or less supporters went, they could soon find themselves with a financial black hole.

1,000 plus Town fans in their away end could easily vocalise their dissatisfaction with this seasons "warm welcome". Remember how the Kop give their opinion of Kelvin McKenzie.

Over the last few seasons, some in the conference, we have had some very good away followings, did that mean that the team played any better or we won?

Our away record has been pretty good the last few years actually. There is no way of knowing what effect the fans have. Some is my opinion not zero. Make our point in another way but don't not go at all.

There has been times in the past few seasons when the players have said that the away support has made a difference.

At Cambridge last season Josh Gowing won the toss and turned the sides around before kick off as he “wanted our supporters behind the team in the 2nd half” rather than kicking towards us.

On the other side of the coin, we've lost to a few teams at home that couldn't even muster double figures so maybe it does, maybe it doesn't.

Regardless of who the protest is against, did we or did we not fill an away end and have a club turn a profit? Did we do a single thing against Forrest Green? no.

Maybe we can fill up our next away game and wave bras around so Plymouth can make some money. That'll show Stevenage and the EFL we mean business.

Sorry Kris, I clearly misunderstood the sentence above as posted by you.  Like a numpty I thought you were inferring that the next time we filled THEIR away end giving THEM a profit.
How the hell did I get so wrong ???

Sell out our ticket allocation, go mob handed to the turnstiles before kick off, force all of their stewards to strip to their underwear, go in support our team, (Town win 4-0 by the way), at the end of the game fully superglue a bra to every seat so the cost of replacing the seats equals the away gate receipts, go home happy with the three points..

We could sell their ground as the original Wembley to some rich gullible American, and get it moved brick by brick the week before our fixture next season.

Or just not go, whichever is easier.

It would be far better to apply their heavy handed tactic towards their fans next season at BP. The EFL have set a precedent by allowing this to  unpunished even after admitting that these incidents did occur. I know it sounds like " mammary for tat " but see how their management would deal with this approach to their female fans. If this had occurred at one of the smaller Premiersh*t grounds like Stoke or Bournemouth and been directed at fans of one of the " Big Six " clubs then there would have been hell on. It would have been all over the national papers and probably tv as well.

The EFL whitewash definitely needs exposing for what it is, there's no doubt.

But.. since when has it become the Grimsby way to start boycotting everything? In adversity in the past we used to be much more ballsy. Do us wrong and we'll come back at you twice as hard, that was the Grimsby way. What's wrong with selling out the Stevenage away end next year showing them that they can fook us around all they like, we're still here, bigger and bolder than ever.

We all accuse the FA and the EFL of using money as bribes to get what they want out of the game, yet, are we any better in using money (by way of reduced gate receipts) to get our point across. Don't get me wrong there's obviously a massive point to be made but should it made by denying ourselves watching an away match?

Fans are now looking to boycott Stevenage, FGR and Cheltenham away because of recent issues. Where's this going to end? In years to come are half the Football League clubs going to be on the banned away day list? What happens if one of those games is really crucial? Does the team not get our support? Or is it ok to break the boycott when we can pick and choose to do so?

As a set of supporters, I think we're better than boycotting (Checkatrade apart) and should throw our weight behind exposing the inequity in that EFL statement in a much more positive way than boycotting..

I am very uneasy with what Bigdog posts above... why? As it’s the 2nd time in a week I agree with him😉

When they come to BP later this season let’s make them welcome (let’s face it they won’t bring many) and if we have to go back there go in numbers and make some noise.
