I will be there tonight and see it as a kind of closure for those years in the conference, it would have been nice to invite the promotion winning squad to BP tonight too to support dizza and give the fans one more chance to applaud them. In 30 years I suspect we will be having guest speaker dinners with lads like diz, Shaun and Mckeown.

I'm not looking at it as a testimonial, but a chance to give him a proper send off since we didn't 100% know the Plymouth game was going to be his last for us.
In my eyes he's more than just a player. Remember this a guy that other than playing for us has no affiliation to Grimsby.

It's the kind of bloke he is, everywhere he's gone he's been seen as a loyal player who gives everything for the club. Always a good example as captain for other players around him and a real classy pro.

For those with a better, if not longer, memory than me....
Who's was the testimonial that drew a massive crowd because having a ticket stub meant you were guaranteed a ticket for an upcoming big cup match? Again can't remember the team in the cup but suspect it might have been for the Everton game?
I went and paid but didn't watch the game for some reason. Perhaps I was on nights or something. Once again, can't remember! 😀 Lololololol 😁

Dave Booth's  testimonial.........a crowd in excess of 13,000

I think the ticket stub was for the Wolves cup game.

They did the second for Macca's second testimonial, stub holders were given priority for Newcastle and he got a crowd of over 6000 if I remember rightly

They should have got Hursty to bring his Shrewsbury team down. It would have generated more interested.
I can't go as promised to take the kids trick or treating

We’ll pray for you londonmariner2. Pray for your soul before you get totally sucked in and start watching gridiron and eating granola.

Before long he’ll be coming to BP for a Soccer Match. Texting his buddies that we are losing zero to one and need to strengthen the offence.

Two dogs are laying on the kitchen floor.

1st Dog says 'I heard a cracking joke in the park this morning'

2nd Dog says 'go on then, tell me it'

1st Dog says 'knock kno'

and the second Dogs jumps up and goes fking mental !!
