There will be a goal and at some point it will be scored by Diz remember it's a testimonial that's what you do.

Any ideas who was the last GTFC player to get a testimonial? Feels like it was Macca but I don't recall it.

Macca had two didn’t he? One in 96 vs Leeds (might not have been his, it was my first ever game and remember it being a testimonial) and a second against Hull in about 2007.

Think the last one I attended was for Mark Lever or possibly Macca?

To be honest I don`t begrudge Diz anything and he gave sterling service but he wasn`t here 10 years and on that note not sure he warrants a testimonial? However due to the service he gave and the way he conducted himself I felt obliged to get tickets and it will be nice to say thanks to most of the team that got us back in the league.UTM

I will be there tonight but no doubt now we have been bastardised by the yanks the Halloween parties will be another reason why some won't show.


Anyway Diz and the lads who helped get us back in the league deserves a proper thank you can't wait.

I'm not looking at it as a testimonial, but a chance to give him a proper send off since we didn't 100% know the Plymouth game was going to be his last for us.
In my eyes he's more than just a player. Remember this a guy that other than playing for us has no affiliation to Grimsby.
