What does Clarke have to do to get dropped?

Looking forward to a brighter future now Fenty has gone.

He is Head Boy.

Could possibly be the slowest Town back 4 ever?

I suspect we'll sit deep to mitigate Jacksons pace, hit it long to Matt, then hope he can hold it long enough for the support to arrive

Jamey Osbourne

Karleigh Osborne

We never had this problem with Bobby Cummings.

I respect slade. Two questions;

1) Clarke deserves to be dropped - why not?
2) Do you think u are being unfair to Clements

Good luck to tonight.

And every manager we  will play against will know that and set his team up to exploit that.

Our defence is shocking. I feel for Macca having them in front of him

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

Stanley equalise through Kayden Jackson - Danny Collins inexplicably chases down Jordan Roberts with Paul Dixon also covering and leaves Jackson in ares of space in the middle totally unmarked - Jackson had time and space to power an shot past McKeown at the near post. Poor, poor defending. 1-1

Good. Grief.
I just want us to resemble a full time professional side.

Exceptional finish from Jones, but immediately were undone by our USELESS defence. It's appalling how bad we are at the back. We had the ball in their penalty area, they counter quickly and Jackson is left in acres of space to pick his spot. Dropping Osborne instead of Clarke was an atrocious decision by Slade - the bloke is out of his depth and hasn't a clue tactically. Why field a defence with an average age of THIRTY FOUR against a team with a pacy striker? Just stupid.

Don't sit on the fence Chris, tell it how it is.  I totally agree with you. A no-brainer to go with your most mobile CB.

I also worked out the average age as 34 for the back 4 tonight.  The worse news is that 2 of them are a year older in Nov.

Sounds like after the goal all we had to do was maintain us shape.

When we make mistakes, heads drop, we sink deeper and resort to half hearted clearances.

Answers are required urgently to questions such as:
Why is the average age of our defence 34?
Given what was said in your first press conference, is the aim this year still play offs?
If so, how do you intend to make sure we challenge for them?
If not, why not?

The question is does anyone have the balls to ask such questions?

It can be hard sometimes.....do you keep rotating defenders if theyve played poorly in consecutive games or give them another chance hoping for a reaction and the player gaining some much needed confidence.

This ref is poor. Blows for the sloghtest contact on an Accy player but ours need to lose a leg for him to even consider it

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

Again

In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions.
Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them.

Sounds like the ref has done his best to help the home team.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Would've taken 2 points from these 2 away games and in the end we've ended up with a point more - lovely stuff!

Hopefully Jones and Matt stay in the side from now on.

great win well done Town, thought we more than matched them for most of the game. It helps of course when your defending from the opponents half and not 10 yards outside your own box. Like the way Matt put himself about, really roughed them up, is he the missing link

We looked good up front till Matt went off then we had no hold up play at all, midfield did a good job as well but every time our defence was called upon I was bricking it. Also we need to do alot of work defending set pieces lost count number of times they had a free header

Summerfield didn't do too bad a job, didn't get too many chances to affect attacking play as we'd pretty uch returned to hoof ball by that point as we were constantly clearing our lines but he certainly got stuck in and madea  few good tackles.

Played well overall. A few blunders but the effort was there across the squad.

Ref an absolute homer.

Re Summerfield. Ran around, ran a good way back when they broke from a corner and put a great clean tackle in from behind. Didnt really notice him much and he did not manage one of those trademark dodgy passes. Rose looked good first half but seemed to lose his ability to stand where he should in the 2nd and caught out of position, so good move to bring summerfield on at that point. Main issue was if our defence were running back to their own goal on breaks, just not quicjk enough, led to their goal and still well dodgy defending corners. But looked like every player wanted it and put in 100% while they were on the pitch

A hard fought win that brings much needed relief, and maybe an insight that some of our performances are down to confidence. Well tonight showed we can dig in, block and score from open play. We still give the ball away far too much and some players getting either turned or done too easily, so there is still a lot of work to do. Good to see Woolford using his experience to close players down and slot home for the winner. Dembele for me looked to be getting wound up by their players and I counted 6 rolls and a hand banging on the floor from their player, I think No7 and the player (I think no11) who got Davies booked after two steps of walking wounded sprinted off like nothing happened.

Great turn out from town fans and safe journey home.

Actually, given that Accy play at the Wham Stadium, and that Sam Jones got the opening goal, how on earth have the GET missed out on the headline WHAM BAM Thank you SAM!

I'm applying for the job of headline creator later today.
