The Sting is a brilliant film.

Not a big film fan at all and very rarely watch one but I do like the Monty Python films, Blazing Saddles, Young Frankenstein and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.

The Holy Grail and Life of Brian are films I could watch again and again Les. Thought of LoB today when i saw some juniper bushes at a garden centre.

Another very good film I've just been reminded of is Kingdom of Heaven. Setting aside the balderdash of Legolas being a blacksmith. The politics of the court of the King of Jerusalem is believable. And it seems to reflect what I've read of the Crusaders - each new wave being bloodthirsty lunatics and the ones who've been settled there a while tempering their outlook and assimilating somewhat.

Plus some good philosophising along the way. The King's wisdom is precocious because his life's span has been accelerated. Military victor at 16. Fatal illness leading to death before 30. Makes a man think I guess.
