Trialist tonight

Have it on good authority that we have a trialist tonight by the name Mike _______ no idea who it is myself but it got leaked to us today from the same source that said Bogle to Wigan and Dyson on loan to us.

That narrows it down then. I heard it was Dave

Rotch/Hunt would be my guesses.

It is Mike Oxlong.

Drew Peacock also on trial.

Saw Andrew Fox playing for Peterborough against Fleetwood two seasons ago. Thought he was good that day. Not particularly athletic but solid and had a very nice left foot. My mate who's a season ticket holder at Posh was surprised when they released him.

Interestingly, Fox played as a right winger over in the states and an impressive record of 36 goals in 63 appearances before being converted to left back by Peterbrough.

Not you wouldn't Aaron because when inevitibly didn't materialise then you would receive quite the backlash, but my making up a fairly innocuous statement regarding an unknown trialist, you're are still receiving the attention but you can easily laugh it off when it becomes apparent your 'mate' was having you on.

Let's be honest Aaron, you've got an extensive history of being.... shall we say 'economical' with the truth so I do find it hard believing most things you say!

Doesn't necessarily mean I was making this up? If I was making it up how would I make up the player? Think of a random team and find their squad before identifying their left back and then researching him? What if they never had a left back who was a reasonable age for it to be believed? I could have been looking for a suitable left back for some time! Why the intercourse would I waste my time doing that

Anyone can easily pick out a young left back that's been released in the past 18 months and use that name. That would require very little research at all.

I wholeheartedly agree. I apologise to anybody who has been offended or had to sit through this, quite frankly childish exchange but I won't sit back and allow myself to be attacked by keyboard warriors such as FatCobra, Johnnyboy & Golfer.
