Must surely be losing Labour thousands, literally thousands of votes. I don't think I can genuinely say I have ever seen a senior politician seem more inept. She might not be, but she certainly comes across that way. So poorly prepared for interviews it's unbelievable. Don't get me wrong, Tories are not coming out of this at all well, but by Christ the thought of her as Home Secretary scares the hell out of me.

| The wife was going away for a girly weekend. I jokingly remarked 'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football' 'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked She said 'Well you already know how to play football' |

It seems pretty certain she won't be in the role should Labour actually win, but they can't replace her in the shadow cabinet at this stage. They should have done what May has with Box Office Phil Hammond and put him out to pasture somewhere, a long way away from any media appearances.
Didn't see any of her interview last night but it seems she's completely lost her nerve and is now getting flustered when pressed. Believe it or not, I've read that she prepares for interviews but that's no good if you panic after the first question.
If May can dodge interviews willy-nilly, it seems daft that they just didn't shut Abbott away last week.

Massive own goal for Labour and she is cringeworthy at best, incompetent at worst. As a Labour supporter, i cannot understand how they haven't learnt from the past that you have to present an acceptable face to the public and she aint it. Corbyn is already struggling with the public perception of him and the Labour party, so the inclusion of Abbott just adds more fuel to the fire.
Unfortunately, politics is more about personalities than principles and they are just serving up the press and public with reasons not to vote for them.

Saying something along the lines of his prospective cabinet not being finalised yet could swing a few votes his way but he isn't going to do it. Why are they still putting her into the public eye after the first failed interview and why are the media showing these intercourse ups rather than the Corbyn speeches being shared on social media?

Well, that didn't take long: https://www.theguardian.com/po.....ay-armed-police-cutsFormer Shadow Home Secretary, Yvette Cooper wades into the attack against May at the same time that Abbott started to feel really unwell. A Blairite careerist, but it can't hurt her either way if she's wants to start jockeying for position after the election, regardless of the result. Described as a personal attack, but wouldn't surprise me if she'd been asked to put her oar in - let's just say, I'd be surprised if it was just a coincidence.

The treatment she has received has been appalling, we should encourage black women into politics. Break the Eton supply chain, however this shows Corbyn's weakness, he doesn't have a strong team. The best labour politicians have never backed him.

Appallingly treated, singled out and bullied, everything that is wrong with the press, not up to the role she was asked to do but plenty of others just as incompetent and a Tory leader who hasn't answers a single question

Hate to say it, but you've got to be made of sterner stuff in front line politics these days especially when journalists are always looking for a 'gotcha' moment by firing numbers at you all interview. Wouldn't have been the case ten years ago, but there you are, you have to move with the times.
She's obviously been bullied but I'm afraid that's the way of things these days.
