Could be. He's Mick McCarthy's sort of centre back. He's what we used to call a good repeat defender because every time he wins the ball and passes, it comes straight back and he has to repeat the tackle. I can't see he would be capable at a higher level but Ipswich might suit both parties.

He is married to a Grimsby girl so you never know,

He also gave £25,000 to the junior team when he moved to Norwich,

So worth a try, I know money talks ,

It would arguably be the biggest coup in years if Bennett signed.

Due to the Grimsby connection he would be more likely to end up at Scunthorpe but I suspect he will stay around Suffolk/Norfolk as it is commutable to many of the clubs around London too.
