A lot of those out of contract players in the League One/Championship will be offered new deals. First thing I did was google Peter Whittingham because he's a good player, and yep he's been offered a new deal at Cardiff.

Tom Elliott from Wimbledon would be a good signing, always looked a very good player

Hakeeb Adelakun would also be a good winger from Scunthorpe

Dare I say it, but a few good options for this level released by Scunny

Scunthorpe Utd – Levi Sutton, Scott Wiseman, Neal Bishop, Luke Daniels, Joe Anyon, David Mirfin, Stephen Dawson, Jamie Ness, Jordan Clarke, Tom Hopper, Hakeeb Adelakun, Charlie Goode, Jack King, Kyle Wootton, Craig Davies

They haven't been released - they are out of contract. I'm sure that Alexander and Swann will do their list after rather than before their season has ended.

He was OK in the Conference as long as the team was picked to accommodate him. Personally, I'd rather sign Vose and I'm not a massive fan of him either.

Fair doos, but I feel Jon Nolan contributed far more in half a season for us than Vose has come close to in a full season. I realise it was a league lower, but since then Nolan has gone on to play 30 odd games in the league above us this season.

Anyway, like someone said - i was sure he'd signed at Chesterfield for longer than a year?

Willing to bet that neither Vose nor Nolan is the type of player Slade is after. I wonder if PH is so keen now he's a L1 manager?

Hakeeb Adelakun is an interesting one, bags of talent but has fallen out of favour a bit at Scunny and he's had a few issues there. Maybe RS could get the best out him.

"Falls to Arnold... Arnold! That's it! Thats it! He's sealed it! Grimsby Town are back in the football league!!! Just a minute to go and Nathan Arnold makes it 3-1! Look at the scenes behind the goal! Look at the relief! The agony is finally over!!!"

Wasn't the Scunny manager quite as saying Adelakun wasn't getting picked because he wasn't putting it in during training
