Seeing there is a thread on UFO's and Aliens here is one on Ghosts or any Paranormal movements/activities

Have you had any ghostly/paranormal experiences?  Do you believe in them?

I Used to live in an old chapel in Irby Upon Humber and I've experienced a few things there when I was younger.
Also my parents swear things have happened in this property to them.

Not physically seen a ghost but I have heard and witnessed movement that I can't explain why or how it has happened.

I worked in a care home on nights a few years back and there were lots of stories of workers seeing ghosts in older buildings,

I have not seen one myself but I believe the women that told me they had seen one,

I did have a strange experience one night though,

The building was on three levels the dementia wing was on the lower ground floor where one care worker stayed all night

Then there were 2 floors which I looked after with another co worker,

Twice during the shift one of us went down to the dementia wing to help change the bedding,

During this period  I was the one staying upstairs by myself,  My alarm went off and it told me there was somebody stuck in the lift,

I went to the lift and the door was closed and I could not open them,,I could see the light was on inside the lift but there was no reply when I ask who was in there,
After a few minutes of trying unsuccessfully to open the doors I had a brainwave,I went and checked that all the residents were in bed which they were so I tried to open the doors one final time unsuccessfully again so  I went into the office and called downstairs to see if there was a key anywhere that would open the lift. My co worker said she did not know but she was coming back to help me then anyway.
When she met me at the lift she tried pressing the button to open the doors and they opened straight away, bloody hell I said, I tried that a dozen a more times,

The strange thing was the lift was empty but the alarm cord had been pulled,

The next evening when I reported for my shift all the day workers were talking about me and a ghost,

I said I never saw a ghost it was the lift that had a short or something

They all said no it was Mrs X who had the room next to the lift ,she had died in hospital the previous day and she had come back to her room.

They all thought that was the case but I was not sure,

It was a strange shift though.

All bullshit you would think with all the CCTV we have today there would be at least some credible footage, all a figment of the imagination.

I love how all your opinions are 'finished'. Do you have any knowledge in evolution then? Any learning going on as you reflect further or hear new perspectives, or have you just reached that age where you know everything?

It's a video, not CCTV, but I suggest you view the clip I linked above before you arrive at any rash conclusions

I must admit the footage did blow me away at first and sent a right shiver down my spine, but on closer freeze frame examination Ive come to the conclusion it's probably fake footage, based on the fact the ghost is wearing a crash helmet.😂

Ive 'seen' several and sensed much more but Im of the opinion I cant know for certain whether they were real or my mind playing tricks -kind of like a daydream -the mind is a very powerful thing capable of creating visions which can seem very real

However they seemed very convincing and some had historical context upon doing further research -sometimes stuff I didnt already know about the places prior to

As Donald Trump would say its all fake news all made up lies,

BUT

What does he know ?

There are a lot of things out there that we do not know or understand,

Even the top scientist  only presume something is right until it can be proven otherwise,

Good Question, Did time exist before humans were created,

If you answer is yes,  why ?

Time does not exist. The only time is now, it's always right now. Past and future only exist NOW in your imagination. Modern science/Einstein even backs up what Jesus and The Buddha et al always knew.

“Try to imagine a life without timekeeping. You probably can’t. You know the month, the year, the day of the week. There is a clock on your wall or the dashboard of your car. You have a schedule, a calendar, a time for dinner or a movie. Yet all around you, timekeeping is ignored. Birds are not late. A dog does not check its watch. Deer do not fret over passing birthdays. an alone measures time. Man alone chimes the hour. And, because of this, man alone suffers a paralyzing fear that no other creature endures. A fear of time running out.”
― Mitch Albom, The Time Keeper

Time is a human concept to help mark the seasons for farming and the like. Different planets have different hours for days and days in the year for orbiting respective stars. Some animals live longer than others and it is guesstimated that creatures such as a tiny jellyfish called the immortal jellyfish, has found a way to cheat death by actually reversing its aging process, according to Scientists.

I think that what we call time is fixed and once an event has passed it can no longer be revisited, if it were possible you have to ask yourself why we are still using fossil fuels and why 62 people own half the worlds wealth, why kids are staving and why people of a certain ideology are going out of their way to terrorize the world.

i certainly dont believe in ghosts but i have experienced something that i couldnt otherwise rationally explain.....sat in the bar of The Lifeboat one evening chatting with a mate when an old style ceramic ash tray moved from one side of the cigarette machine top to the other in front of us, about 2-3ft.....i saw it....asked my mate if he had, which he had...so we both went to inspect....tried all sorts of theorys like vibration causing it to slide, wet surface, out of level etc etc...none could be attributed to it.....so while i didnt see a ghost and dont believe it was a ghost we couldnt come up with a valid reason as to how it moved.

The staff all had stories of a cold presence and doors slamming etc in the hotel and the stories were of a spirit of a young girl haunting the place.
Dont know if anyone in the flats that now sit on the site have any issues.

I'd heard the Lifeboat was haunted. But then I always assumed it was down to some of the non-alcoholic substances ingested by some of the clientele.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

When I used to go in late 70s/early 80s, I don't think they'd changed the records in the jukebox since your time Pete. House of the Rising Sun and Whiter Shade of Pale seemed to be on all the time.

Ner, there was a pool table by then.

The only place I've seen bar billiards (apart from on that old Fred Truman pub game show) was in pubs in Kent. Cracking game.

Used to go there in the 90s on a Saturday teatime to play pool for an hour or two before heading into Cleethorpes proper.

I think one of the pool tables must have been haunted as when you put your money in, it came straight out again even though the balls dropped, so to speak. Saved me the cost of a pint each week, which was nice. I didn't bother to point the issue out to the bar staff as they might have tried to perform an exorcism!

I remember one year in the 60's we went to Torquay on holiday,

The guest house owner was really pleased I knew how to play it,

He had a table in one room but he could never find any guest who played the game,

He did not knock anything off our bill though

BUT

We enjoyed a few games that week.

I never take people seriously when they tell me they've seen a ghost. However....a picture fell off my wall once when I was perhaps doing something I shouldn't.....

The only other time I've seen a picture just randomly fall off a wall was at the Anglo-Saxon burial site, Sutton Hoo, in Suffolk.
