I've actually heard this isn't the case and the interview process only concluded late yesterday. Are the telegraph and RH getting a bit ahead of themselves?

... but it must be true ... it's in The Daily Mail [cough, cough!]

The odds might have moved because he has been offered the job,

BUT

Not excepted it yet,

This gives the ones in the know a chance to make a few quid,

Relax I am sure he will be with us on Monday.

I wonder if Bignot is going to give Hurst a call and ask his opinion on taking the job before he makes his decision.........

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

That first mike newell match at Cheltenham is the most bizarre game I've been to! First half playing like Brazil, second half playing like Kazakhstan

Quoted from Caesar
I am burnt from Mike Newell who I must confess I thought was a fantastic appointment at the time.

We all got burnt. We all thought he was a fantastic appointment. None of us knew how thirsty he was though.

Very pleased we appear to have appointed someone on the up rather than someone on their way down, grasping at a final pay deal before they leave football.

Can we have a ceremonial ripping up of his season ticket from "Ian" on the pitch before the Barnet game?

Surely it would have to be outside the ground Les ??

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

I suppose the thing you get by appointing Bignot is that he's likely to sign up-and-coming non-league players who won't be demanding big contracts.

It fits the way we have to work, given our huge debt.

Also, Bignot seems to conduct himself professionally. Obviously the most important asset of any manager is their ability to win games of football, but it certainly doesn't hurt to have an intelligent, level-headed and incredibly grounded manager because, after all, he's representing our football club.

Does anyone know Bignot's preferred formation?
