Not building my hopes up after the great coates abomination everything was in place feasibility studies, Big backers like Conoco. plans drawn up of how the infrastructure would bypass the village. A plan of the stadium was drawn up, loads of money and time wasted by a group of nimbys who got Natural England on board to reject the offer on environmental issues.

This latest project hasn't even got that far yet.

The big issues for me would be, purely from the football club perspective, is what it will cost the club and who owns the ground and pitches. I'd hate to see us either with a debt we can't service or with rents to pay to someone else and with no access to the extra revenue generating opportunities. It's happened to too many football clubs already.

For the town, obviously new investment would be good, plus new facilities like an ice rink. It's a bid sad that the character of that area off PP will be changed, from semi-rural to definitely urban.

Yes such a terrible shame that a big load of empty space nobody really uses will be gone. People who grow a vegetables,a few gypsies and people who hold car boots will be devastated.
