With Pittman the only recognized striker left that's surely at least three new strikers to come in.

Our frontline will be completely refreshed for the first time in ages

This in itself is probably a good thing - and I'm genuinely excited to see who it's going to be.

It doesn't excite me much if I'm honest when you think of the number of strikers we supposedly tried to sign last season. Dozens wasn't it? If anything it worries me.

Hopefully some of the current players can talk them into it about the great team spirit and we only need a prolific striker to complete the team.

Being a penalty shoot out away from league footy and the great showing from our fans at Wembley will hopefully sway some better strikers to give us a go. Lots of our signings have cited our great fans as a big reason for coming here.

Players with a bit of quality may well be tempted by a 2 year contract with a team always challenging for promotion? Our quality fans and football were prominently on display on BT Sport during the playoffs. We will have registered with players in a way we didn't last season so I'm speculating wildly but I reckon the task of getting them up the A180 is easier this season than last.

This time last season Akinde was the stand out candidate for a promotion chasing team at this level. Is there one now?

I cant think of a 'must have' striker at this level?

I'd be quite happy if Aaron O'Connor, Kyle Vassell and Lyle Taylor all joined mind

Kyle Vassell interests me - he looks like he's cut from the same cloth as Hearn. Good age, point to prove, looks like he's got a bit of pace and strength. Just needs a chance to settle down, play week in, week out, and we might have a player on our hands.

Peterborough don't often sign duds from non league.

If we had the team we finished with at the start of last season with Ollie up front i think most of us would agree we would have gone up.
So if and it's a big if Palmer does come back to partner JPP and or Bogle we would have a front line to beat any outfit in this league, Even more so with the new quality players that have come in to provide crosses and chip in with goals. Our defense and midfield looks sorted we are almost there.

Lyle Taylor? Or Kyle Vassell? You've got your L and K all of a bother

Not sure we do and he looks, similar to Nielsen, he has let him self go during the close season.
I think Chris actually means this young man.

Looks like a decent player if signed, not first choice but a very good squad player.

His pace would tear teams a new one at this level.

One comment from a scunt on twitter said 'Lyle is too good to drop to non-league, and I'm not even tweeting this to take a dig at Grimsby.'

No one could argue there wasn't enough bite in midfield if we did sign one

I don't mind Roy Keane making £60,000 a week. I was making the same when I was playing. The only difference was I was printing my own - Mickey Thomas

The area you are trying to protect at corners is the goal - Chris Kamara

I once said Gazza's IQ was less than his shirt number and he asked me: What's an IQ? - George Best
