Anyone else been keeping an eye on today's conference play off?
The southern one between the twin giants of borehamwood and whitehawk is still 0-9 but the other tie has been amazing.chorley with home advantage were 2 up at half time. Boston ex striker Adam boxes made it 3-1 ana incredibly Danny totally useless bosh ell has scored 2 in 2 minutes and they now lead 4 -2 . At least we will have another local derby to look forward to! Can't lose in the other one. Borehamwood , (a total Shiite hole for those of you not lucky to have visited this particular sangria la) is only a hour away for me whilst whitehawk = a weekend in Brighton
Roll on next season eh?😟

Guiseley win the conference North Play offs final.

Could another team beginning with G win the conference play-offs next Sunday?

According to their Twitter feed they won 3-2 and D Boshell didn't score though N Boshell got the winner.

Always wanted Guiseley up as it's 5 mins from me but they've always conspired to miss out. I don't want to get anyone's hopes up but I think this pretty much ensures we're going up.

Bizarrely the bbc vidiprinter still has 4-2 as the ft score. The southern tie ended 1-1 but borehamwood now 2-1 up in extra time

Loosely connected - North Shields win the FA Vase from "our" end. North Ferriby also won from that end in the Trophy final.

Anyone know if either Guiseley or Boreham Wood have got serious financial backing? Will they be the next Eastleigh or are they just making up the numbers?

Same question applies to Bromley and Barrow.

As far as I know both are well run clubs who have progressed from humble origins slowly but surely. Rodley will know more about guiseley but borehamwood have never spent madly but have benefitted from their association with arsenal ladies. Their manager ex arsenal and Colchester ian Allison has been there developing things for a few years now

Don't think Guiseley will be any threat to the top of the table. Think Barrow have a benefactor with a few quid though.

Barrow will be amongst the favourites next year in my opinion. Serious investment going on up there.

Like rodders Guiseley is down the road for me and have always wanted us to play them. Hopefully fate will act accordingly now they are up....

Just been out for dinner with a friend who went today and has played there . Said borehamwood just about deserved it. Scott neilson got taken off , not the type of game for Scott apparently. He said there isn't any real money there but have greatly benefitted from the arsenal link up. Nice new stand along one side and the pitch is excellent.apparently it was always a good pitch but arsenal's presence guarantees it to be a superb playing surface

Liam Dickinson who scored for Guiseley today was quality in League 2 in 07/08 (Derby signed him from Stockport for £750k). Had wondered what had happened to him!
