Its so much easier and cheaper for Bristol Rovers fans to get to Wembley than it is for us Grimsby fans

Bristol to Wembley by road is 116 miles which is roughly 2 hours 15 mins

They are 4 trains running on Sunday 7:00am arriving 10;27, 8:15am arriving 11:58, 9:15 arriving 12:58 and 9:45 arriving 13:18  approx. travelling time 3hrs 45 mins

By comparison

Cleethorpes to Wembley is 215 miles which is roughly 3 hrs 50 mins (plus stops on the way) so more like 4hrs 30 mins for coaches

The are No trains running from Cleethorpes which will arrive before kick-off
8:15 arriving 14:18 approx. travelling time 6 hrs
So arriving by train means addition expense of a accommodation for a night.

So yes I would expect a lot more Bristol fans - bigger population easier and a lot cheaper.

But we are Grimsby

Look they are bound to take more, they are a better supported club than we are.

It is pointless trying to keep coming up with excuses as to why there will be more there than Town fans.

It's what happens on the pitch that counts unless a new rule has been brought in and they get a goal start for every 1,000 fans they have more than us.

I'm travelling from OGLE-TR-56b and set off for this match thousands of years ago, no Brizzie fan can match that

Supporting the Mighty Mariners for over 30 years, home town club is were the heart and soul is and it's great to be a part of it.

That's only to Kings Cross though Steve and don't forget that it's a bloody bus replacement service between Clee/Grimsby and Donny both ways.

You could do it I suppose as it would take about 30 minutes or so to get from KX to Wembley but it'd be a bit of a mad rush, that's assuming the train is on time into KX as trains are very often delayed on a Sunday.

That's why I'm going down on Saturday afternoon and coming back on the Monday. (It comes in handy having a brother who lives down that way)

Catching the 10.03 from Newark, returning about 19.00. £9.00 parking fee, it all adds up.

The best thing about this is, that come Sunday 17th May at 4 pm  there will be thousands more unhappy supporters making their way back up the M4..
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bristol to Wembley by road is 116 miles,
Cleethorpes to Wembley is 215 miles
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I will soon be travelling the 215 miles north feeling ecstatic that my team will be playing League footie next season,  than the 116 miles looking at the prospect of another season in the valderama premier.

UTM. This is our year.

215 miles?? Which way are you going, via Newcastle.

It's about 180 miles at most I'd say.

I look at it this way I am going there to enjoy the occasion and soak in the atmosphere, sure we will be out numbered but there will still be enough of us to make plenty of noise.

It's a one off game which if we play well we NOW have the players that can produce the goods against anyone in this league INCLUDING Bristol. I don't doubt our players ability to beat Bristol with the team spirit we have got and our away form.

Bring it on I say UTM and to our fans I say have a ball and enjoy it.

If we win I might take a detour home via the M4 with scarves as well as something else hanging out the car window.

Better supported club? Not sure...........

If Grimsby was the 6th biggest City in the UK I am sure we would pack Wembley.

Remember they are "The 2nd team in their city". And not all Town fans live in Grimsby/Cleethorpes.
