If we get to Wembley i assume we will get a massive financial boost which will help us compete in the football league or buy us out of this sorry league at last.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Am trying not to mention the W word just yet in case we blow it, but a share of a potential 50000 plus gate each paying an average of £30 a ticket less fa cut and costs etc must run into a couple of hundred thousand maybe win or lose, enough hopefully to cover losses from this year and keep us full time with a decent budget for next year no whatever what league we are in.

The W word doesn't bother me...it's people singing "we are going up" like I've heard at the last few matches. There we go, my superstitious nature tells me that by even just by listening to people singing that, and definatly by repeating it I've blown any chances we've got...

Fans always sing 'we are going up' it's part of the banter and is a positive rather than a negative. Nothing wrong in it IMO. They can't sing 'we aren't going up' can they.

If it's bad luck to sing it nobody would ever et promoted as everyone sings it when they are nowhere close! Football songs are supposed to by triumphant war chants to inspire the troops on the field. It wouldn't have the same effect if they heard qualified chants like "we are probably going up".

"We're gonna fcuk it up, we're gonna fcuk it up, you're not, you're not" probably wouldn't be a good idea either.

No it would have to be, staying down staying down staying down. Then if we lose at Wembley it would be, now you gonna believe us the town are staying down.

I remember when we went to Wembley in 98 it was reported we made half a million , we should get at least that from a 50-60000 crowd at the new wembley prices

Win or lose now we have a big pay day to give us financial clout.

Not sure that it works like that!

At the start of the season JF agrees the MAXIMUM sum he is willing to cover. For example only say that was £400k.

If we balance the books through a Wembley pay day then that doesn't mean we have that cash to spend, simply that we haven't got into further debt with our major benefactor.

Wembley just means King John hasn't got to cover quite so much debt

Which in itself is a good thing. Sustainability is (should be?) the aim.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

That has always been my view although achieving it is easier said than done, reduced reliance on any benefactor has to be a good thing although I fully understand that many don't care about that, feeling it is 'only' what happens on tHe pitch that counts
