Did anyone at the game see what happened yesterday?

Hurst on the radio admitted he followed the ball so didn't see it. Late challenge? How late?
Lot of frustration with the ref yesterday around me came from not seeing their worst challenges, and for needlessly stopping play for a non-injured Connor Jennings.
Guessing some main standers or pontoonites may have seen what happened with Robertson; not seen it mentioned on here.
(I sit in lower findus about as far away from the incident to our left back in first half as you can get...)

As I recall, this was the situation: Robertson played the ball forward to one of our players and went to run on in support. Their player had stumbled and was off balance so couldn't hope to keep up with him so either stepped back into Robertson as he was going past or stuck his leg out to trip him. It didn't look malicious to me and the injury was probably a bit unlucky, but it should certainly have been a booking for a cynical foul. The referee didn't see a thing as he was following play upfield and the linesman who was just a few yards away obviously forgot to wear his specs so failed to see anything either.

I think his inury is a major worry and am crossing fingers for some good news - that the problem is minor. Inside of the knee is the area mentioned, so let's hope it's a bruise type issue and not a ligament, muscular twist/tear or meniscal injury that keeps him out for very long. I wouldn't want to be without him for the play offs as I think he's done really well in that position, To compound the concern, we'd probably be forced to move another of our most consistent performers (Magnay) out of position to cover the loss and bring in Parslow at RB, making us less balanced and solid defensively and somewhat less effective offensively. I think we'd cope, but it'd be a blow. Hurst stated that Gowling couldn't play at left back in case anyone was wondering. Tomorrow will perhaps bring an update on the injury.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Is it worth in the next few games trying Paddy again at left back? He did a decent job when playing there last season

I had the same injury early on this season, took me 2 months to recover. I'd say that's it for gregor for this year.

If asked I am sure GR would tell all what exactly happened, being that he was closest to the incident

Would be a huge loss to have him missing. And as Chaos says a real shame to have to move Magnay (which also means two changes to the back 4 rather than one).

You'd think Parslow would then come in at right back, BUT Toto played right back a few times when Boyce was here (including the 2 big wins vs Gateshead & Alfreton). And now we have Gowling we have that option again.

Of these two, I'd much rather see a back 4 of:
Magnay Pearson Gowling Nsiala
than:
Magnay Pearson Nsiala Parslow

For God's sake don't switch Magnay to left back.

Apart from his obvious qualities on the right side of
our back four defensively he has been instrumental
in the improvement of young Jack's performances and
the creation of a large proportion of our goals.

Moving him over to the left would reduce, what little we
have,our attacking power.

With Robertson injured, the only player we have in our squad who has regularly played left back is Magnay.

With a few players on the books who have played right back, it would be utterly nuts not to move Magnay to the left.

Personally, I think Bignot is a better right back than Parslow but is he in the manager's plans at all at the moment? Otherwise, is Walker ready to come into the first team?

Both Parslow and Toto look like centre-halves playing at full-back whenever they have played in that position so I'd rather see a specialist there, even if Bignot and Walker haven't impressed too much in recent seasons.

Incidentally, I was away on holiday last week so what's going on with Gowling? A 'mystery' injury sounds a bit weird?

Unless we play Paddy at left-back I can't see any option other than switching Magnay across.  Parslow did well against Alfreton at right-back but it was against a limited team with minimal threat from wide areas. Other teams in the play-offs will ask more questions.

I do agree with Tommy about playing Toto right-back but then I'd be very reluctant to take him out of the centre, where he's been our best player for quite a while now.

Good thing is we've two games now to try things out.

Regards Gowling, he can't move his foot upwards towards his body.  Strikes me as a nerve injury more than anything.

Toto at right back IMO no,  not good enough for that position, has to be Paddy at left back starting this Saturday or Bignot/Parsley

If Robertson's out for the playoffs I'll eat my hat if Magnay doesn't start at left back. Yes, it'd be a shame to move him, but there's no other viable option. (McLaughlin playing once there against Chester a year ago doesn't really count)

Although close to the incident I did not see exactly what happened as the play moved forward. There was some sort of collision between one their lads and Gregor which landed him in a heap straight away. It was obvious he was in some pain with his knee and it seemed to take an age before the ref stopped play and allowed Moore on. Although he eventually got up it was clear something was wrong. He walked off very gingerly when the half-time whistle went

From my vantage in the Upper Findus, I saw that their player definitely took him out deliberately but I don't think there was any malice in the challenge. He just tried to trip him and it was unfortunate that Robertson was injured. Should certainly have been a booking.

So.... I did ask him, via twitter, and he responded but only to say we'll know more in the next couple of days (re; the extent of injury).

Bignot will be suffering from a lack of "match fitness" won't he, having played so few games?
