No attempt at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred of the Tory party. So far as I'm concerned they're lower than vermin. Aneurin Bevan.

I am convinced it is Andy Peake myself. Kevin Kilmore had a more "square shaped" head if I remember correctly. Apologies to Kevin in the unlikely event he will read my remarks!

I think this is right, the picture is probably from the 85'86 season. Kevin Kilmore left at the end of the 82'83 season.

I remember Kilmore chatting up a girlfriend of mine with the immortal words, "You're talking to the next KK to play for England." (Meaning Kevin Keegan, also ex-Scunny.).

My original instinct was that it was Kilmore but I thought that he was here before we signed Gilligan, that's why I thought it was Andy Peake

Yeah, just checked, Kilmore and Gilligan were never at the club at the same time, so it must be Peake.

I think it was Oxford actually. He scored an own goal and gave away a penalty in the first 10 minutes of his debut. I think they were top of the table at the time.

Yes indeed, you're right, it was Oxford in 1984. It was pretty much his first kick of the game.

Yeah, we signed him from Swansea i think, hence maybe why we thought that is who he scored the og against, though don't take that as read with my track record tonight. How time plays tricks with the mind.

I can vouch for Les being correct because I was the mascot in that game!

Also heard a story from a fellow town fan who was friends with Robinson that it was his first game and no-one told him the offside drill/signal, hence the o.g., he panicked when caught out of position.....
