Still some time to go yet, but can't think of a favorite. Possibly because the whole team has contributed a lot this season?

Magnay.

I was going to say, we have more threads on Magnay than any other player.

My top 3 purely based on stats and user reports

1) Magnay - obviously been very consistant i.e. Mr Dependable and has glowing references from the games he's played

2) Disley - you can't deny that Dizza has a knack of scoring important goals at crucial times and being the older of the midfielders i think he still has plenty of gas left and doesn't tend to miss games even at 33

3) hmmm Pearson or McKeown can't decide

Clay will probably get young player if he's eligible of course.

Magnay but Disley has been excellent after a poor start to the season. He's been a great captain and never given less than his all. I hope he gets a new contract. Magnay has consistently been excellent and probably just pips Dizza for me.

Magnay easily - which is quite an achievement considering he's a full back and they traditionally don't catch the eye

Just shows how this season has developed.  I had completely forgotten that Connell played for us earlier in the season.  A reminder of how tough the season was early on with injuries and lack of strikers.

Has to be magnay. But i'd like to see disley pick something up. He's been a very good player for us for 4 seasons now and we'd be a lot worse off without him

Incredible isn't it?
The response that was felt (myself included) when Magnay signed... We'd signed a reject from a club that had just beaten us in the play offs.
What a signing, an absolute managerial master class by Paul Hurst there I have to say

Makes you wonder why on Earth! Gary Mills let Magnay go from Gateshead? I doubt anyone cares much about it lol.

Hurry up Hurst, get him to sign another contract with GTFC!

But Mills is the best manager in this league isn't he?

I think there was a bit of a personality clash in that Mills doesn't have one

It has to be Magnay simply because he never seems to have a poor game and Dis has had a couple or so this season, having said that he runs him a close second.

A special mention also IMO would go to never say die leading goal scorer Lennie because without his goals/assists we would not be in the position we are now, plus the usual stalwarts Pearson and Macca

Magnay by far the best player, we have had players like Wood and Hatton in full back positions in the past few seasons and no disrespect to Bradley Wood i would always love his passion in a Grimsby Town shirt but abilty wise Magnay is way above both of them players. Also Gregor Robertson hasn't put a foot wrong since he's signed and has made the defence even more stable.

I still can't believe Gateshead let Magnay go, in a ideal world i would like to have both Magnay and Rodman but i know if i had to choose i know which one i would pick it would Magnay easily.
