Maybe a silly question... but why on Earth did town train on the pitch yesterday ?

On the FGR preview with Hursty it looked like it was getting chopped up quite a bit... ???

Any particular reason ???

I thought exactly the same thing. The pitch would have been very wet and I was surprised it was used for training really. The groundsman must have been over the moon.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

I feel sorry for the groundsman,

Every time I have seen him he is pushing that heavy roller/water remover thingy,

It's 2015, can't we club together and get him a ride on one ?

a ride on one would cause more damage to the ground surely

Possibly a worthwhile* exercise in playing on the same standard of pitch we'll come across at this time of the year?

We've used the all weather at Bradley before.

It won't get any more cut up than if a game had been played on it previously. I'm sure the groundsman will have the last say about what training , if any , goes ahead on the pitch.
