The worst weather for the rest of the week apparently will be down the east coast and into the south east corner so FGR should be OK...

The aim of argument or discussion should not be victory but progress.

Forecast for -1 over night and between 2.5 and 4 during the day. Maybe a bit of rain. I don't believe there will be any problems.

I understand that Dover's ground is largely in shade and once it freezes it takes some thawing out. That coupled with Dover preparing for their Trophy 1/4 final i think it will be off

Dover will want the pitch in good condition,

They will also want their players rested and injury free,

They want to go to Wembley.

Isn't it up to a league appointed Ref to do a pitch inspection? This then removes suggestions of undue influence of clubs. Unless of course someone 'forgets' to turn the under soil heating on.

I understand it is a 'local official' who will do the inspection. Most of their ground remains in the shade and once frozen takes longer than usual to thaw, or at least that is the line being used. Dover fans saying the FA Trophywill be in the minds of their officers whilst they speak to the guy inspecting the pitch

I am pleased an early decision is to be made given the long journey
