As an old time xbox gamer I'm thinking I might treat myself to the One. I still have my 360 and I love adventure style games (Skyrim) as well as thinking/slower first person games (Bioshock, Half Life) Anything there for me? Or shall I possibly think of PlayStation 4? Never had a PlayStation, always xbox, Amiga and Pc before. Thoughts please!

There is always a debate amongst gamers to which format is the best.
The PC is best for graphics and cost of games (if you don't mind waiting some time) and PS4 which I have and Xbox One are very much the same. There is very little in it between the major consoles, and biggest advantage of the PC is that you can play the majority if not all the games you buy were the consoles are limited to which gen you have, which is very poor after you have spent a small fortune on some of those games.
The biggest downside to the PC is cost of updating cards/processors/boards/cooling system and fixing problems inherent with PC's, and knowledge of fixing a PC.
A friend has an all singing and dancing PC but has spent over the years more than I have updating my consoles from mega drive through to PS4.
Have you thought about getting a head of the game and try VR gaming

Thanks for the input guys. You know I'm rather long in the tooth my first computer being the ZX Spectrum! My favouritre platform was the Commodore Amiga 1200 which was an amazing bit of kit at the time. Of course I then had to move on the PC where I spent a fortune on continual upgrades! These days I just want to pop it on for a couple of hours at the weekends so I'm really quite happy with my 360. Just had a few bob burning in my pocket and was thinking of upgrading to the ONE. I did notice that there is not yet an updated Tiger Woods type golf game though which really would have tipped the scales for me! A Skyrim type game would really float my boat or even something like Dishonoured which I really liked too.

I'm currently playing Destiny on PS4 and it is a very good game, although at times like most games today a tad repetitive. VR will be the way forward and the games are getting better and better, love it they did a Red Dwarf, Gunmen of the Apocalypse 15 minutes in.

Destiny is an amazing game if you put the time into it. There is a PGA Tour golf game scheduled for this year, not got the Tiger brand anymore but is the same game. The Elder Scrolls Online is due out soon too, if you were into Skyrim.

I love PC gaming myself, done so since around 1998. I usually buy cheap games on Steam around June and December time, plus deals around the net any time of the year.
The only thing that's missing on the PC is a lot of sports games, boxing etc, I used the Xbox just to play Fight Night. I just game on PC now.

Dragon Age: Inquisition might be worth trying. Very high scoring reviews. It's the third in the series though.

Work, college - although finished for now. Also spending more time watching films on the evening and general web browsing - especially on football forums. I'm going to concentrate on one game at a time and complete them with all achievements, as they make the games more desirable to play even the ones I don't find too appealing. I usually buy the games when at discount, managed to buy Risen - Franchise Pack from Nuuvem - R$ 66.99 (Brazilian Real) -75% = R$ 16.50 = £3.96 via Paypal (Activated on Steam) Good Pirate / bucaneer type RPG, along with magical abilities, mythological creatures. Only bought it a couple of days ago. if you want a bargain and have no conscience (like me!) then you can pay what you want ($1 minimum) and get Hitman Absolution from the Humble Bundle at the minute: https://www.humblebundle.com/That game is loads of fun and at $1 is stealing. You'll also be getting Supreme Commander 2

I've bought quite a few games from Nuuvem really cheap, although some games are now being region locked, it usually warns you if it is.

Yeah the Humble deals are awesome, I missed out last week on the whole Star Wars series of games for around £10, although I've got a few of them already, it was still worth buying. Same with the Square Enix pack, just missing Theif and Kane and Lynch Collection, excellent bargain if you haven't got most of the games. If I see any good deals, I'll post them on a new thread maybe. I didn't realise their would be any PC gamers on here.

I haven't played on the PlayStation 3 in yonks but I brought it out for the first time in ages today to play FIFA 17. That I bought purely for GTFC as it's the first one they've been on since '09 (I think)

I'm alive is a free download, for Xbox 360 , if you have a gold pass. I have started to play it , surprised me and very good game, for a freebie, I advise to play on hard setting, normal is too easy, the hard setting will be a challenge.
