The Bristol Rovers game will be 5,000 or even 6,000.
Unless we blow it before then.
According to some at Bristol they aren't happy about it being made all ticket for their fans and is already putting some off. http://www.gasheads.org/thread/2199/grimsby-all-ticketAnd who was the fat Town fan that seemed to have got a battering down there on the opening day.

Is 1097 the Findus side or the Main corner of the Osmond?
Is there a plan in the pipeline to put Town fans in that end to try and generate some GTFC backing in the Osmond I suppose is more my question?

Further to the above: We should be doing everything we can as a club and as supporters in general to be packing the park properly for the Bristol Rovers game.
We are still in with a shot at the title and whilst we've not played the best in front of a big crowd in recent years it can't be a bad thing psychologically FOR us and AGAINST one of our title rivals to fill the park and back the team in terms of numbers and decibels.
I appreciate that they are as well as if not better supported gate-wise than we are but it'd be nice to remind them that there are other "big fish" in this division and we are battling up there to get out with/against them.
We're still a couple of weeks away from it so there is still time for everyone to make plans to be there.

Very optimistic considering, Lincoln game aside (local derby, christmas time), we haven't had above 4,000 - we're only just breaching 3,500 after a string of good results. Assuming Brizzle bring 500 and other teams have brought about nothing (most pretty much have), it's a big ask to find an extra 1,000 even 2,000 fans out there. They're looking at the table and seeing we're 9 points off the top. They're seeing/hearing the manager get slagged off for most of the season. The majority of big games for town these days are just not appealing to the non-regulars at £18 a game, no matter how many feral kids they can bring free. Just because we're on a run doesn't mean everyone's suddenly coming back. We won 3 games in a row in December then look what happened... Let's not get excited too quickly. One loss now mak's top spot look a very distant dream, it also makes the playoffs look much less certain given the extra game(s) we've played.

Must be the Findus side - I recall the corner only holding around 600.

I have no idea why they have made it all ticket for them, they are never going to sell out, I am a fat bloke but I did not go to Bristol so it was not me.

I'm sure I read that Bristol Rovers are asking for their away games to be all-ticket now after their eecent trip to Woking (i think) where they took loads of fans and 300 were locked out because the away end was full.

Agree. Not sure I totally understand the Gasheads suggestion that it will knock 3/400 off their attendance. Yes there will be a few who decide on the day if it is pay on the gate but 3/400??
