Led to believe Marc Cullen is coming in to BP from luton. They are just trying to finalise Andy Johnson and then Cullen can move on. Apparantly travels a lot from this end of the world still and has a new baby so is a bit unsettled. If this is right a good signing but need to see some movement out. Hannah perhaps.

Don't know much about him, but 8 in 22 THIS season in League 2 suggests he's quite good.

Good guess on the other thread then.

He tweeted recently 'These treks down south would be impossible if it wasn't for talksport #properradio'
'Productive trip up north, suits sorted for the wedding 👍👍🎩🎩👔👔  me and the a1 doing battle again'
'Me and the a1 doing battle at 6:15 am '

So probably wants a move back up north. Spent most of his career based in hull so it will suit him a lot more.

Small but lively forward with good work rate. Played against us whilst on loan at Stockport. I think he fits Hursts description of not knowing he was available more than Jolley.

We shall see

16 goals in 43 appearances, a good return.

I think with Palmer, Pittmann and Shop these two are gone if Cullen comes in.

I feel a bit sorry for Ross - he was a livewire when he first turned up - suspect he could do well at the bottom end of the Conference and would knock them in for fun in the Conference North

Again I'm led to believe they only play one up front so when Johnson comes in moves Cullen further down pecking order. Its only what I have heard from a reasonable source. I live in Hull and its from someone who may know, or could be tinkering with me. Seems to know a bit though.

He's a good little player, exciting little forward, he's a little different to what we have, I'd be very surprised but really pleased if he signed. One time geography might work in our favour!

My Luton supporting scout mate reckons this could be a go-er. Says Cullen would score goals for fun for us.

Question is - does Hurst want another striker?

On yesterday's performance who would Hurst drop for him? Appreciate one match hard to base stuff on but would he be happy coming here to not be first name on teamsheet saying that I hope he does.

Top scorer for Luton and sat on a nice 3 year contract. Can't see this at all. Hope I'm wrong though.

I ruled this out as a possibility last week making it virtually a certainty. Be a good signing - top scorer for a team chasing promotion to League 1.

Are we paying a fee for him,?

I can not see Luton giving him away,

Maybe Still has a bet on us getting promoted and is giving us a helping hand,

He did say at the beginning of the season that Grimsby was his choice to go up this year.

I'm still not sure its Mark Cullen coming in, my bet would be Lindon Meikle, i just can't see Luton letting him go for players like Andy Johnson injury prone and Ricky Miller is still unproven can't see then giving him up he's top scorer plus i think they still have Benson aswell but he's getting on. Mansfield have players like Oliver scored a few and Billy Kee on loan have enough strike force so i think we would keep Palmer longer depending on there loans. I have a feeling Jolley doesn't want to move up north where you don't have that problem with Meikle.

Pretty convinced whoever it is he won't be an out and out forward
We have LJL, Palmer, Pittman, Hannah (may not go out on loan) and Arnold can play off target man
More likely to me that Neillson will be off somewhere - he's fallen out of favour and according to the player himself he wasn't injured on Saturday; his time is over at GTFC I think and Hurst will pick Mackreth every time I think
Plus, Hurst has said the player in question will excite fans, go past players etc...that implies to me a wide man or someone who plays behind the front two

This Cullen guy seems to fit the bill or a player like him

Neilson isn't going anywhere. He didn't play on saturday because Hurst deemed him not ready to come back after injury. He was prob fit but hurst didn't want to risk him. Iv'e heard we could be getting 2 more players in so maybe it's Jolley and Cullen. Now that would be nice. UTM

Benson broke his leg therefore I can't see Cullen coming.  Besides im sure he said we wanted an attacking midfielder / winger.  Meikle does seem to be a winger but i think it will be someone else.

Luton have signed Jayden Stockley on loan who looked the mammaries against Shrewsbury on BT Sport other week.. Plus if Cullen unsettled and Johnson coming in, I think it's a possibility.

I just have that feeling its Lindon Meikle because we need a winger who's going to chase and have loads of energy, because at the moment where relaying on Arnold and Mackreth so another player with bags of energy, i would prefer Jolley but have a feeling its Meikle. If we could get Jolley and Meikle even better we could rotate the wingers, with also having Neilson aswell added depth in midfield. Just a shame Winfarrah isn't trusted to play out there seem decent when i have seen him.

I do not like all these rumours,

I much prefare Hurst to come out and  say,

We have signed whoever rather than be disappointed yet again.
