Liverpool v Swans Plenty of discussion on strategy for previous matches of this nature. Personally I lay off my pre match bet on Betfair, giving £2.50 loss on a £50 bet to account to differences in odds / Betfair commission. As regards in play bet, lay off around £30 on Betfair to give guaranteed return of around £30 regardless of the result. Overall profit is then £30 less £2.50 loss on pre match bet. Nice

The original bet even at £50 stake isn't very profitable. But still an easy £13-16 if you can be bothered.
My maths was £50 Liverpool @ 4/6 returns £83.33 and £17 Swansea @ 19/4 returns £80.75 pre match, then in-play £50 the draw at 3/1 returns £200 ( which hopefully will be better if an early goal and stake refunded if not a winner)
Effectively wins £16 if Liverpool win, a little under £14 if Swansea win and £83 if it's a draw.
I think my maths is correct on this but if anyone has any other more profitable methods - that thickos like me can understand then let us all know please!

Not sure if Bet 365 will allow 3 bets on their site giving a risk free payout!
The hedging with Betfair involves the need for a kitty to finance the hedging but you can withdraw the funds post match from Bet 365 or Betfair according to which site the profit resulted.
Betfair allows you to back an event (eg Lpool to win) or to lay an event (ie act as bookmaker). I backed Lpool to win at 0.7 on Bet 365, so that my £50 bet returns £35 if Lpool win; if they don't win then I lose £50. I layed Lpool on Betfair at 0.75 for £50, so that I pay out (ie lose) £37.50 if lpool win - of course that is almost covered by my £35 win on Bet 365. If Lpool don't win, I lose £50 on Bet 365 but I win £50 on Betfair.
The in play bet works in a similar way but I only lay around £30 on Betfair - the in play bet can be any market, not necessarily same as pre match market. The greater the odds on the in play market the more you can win overall. Eg take an event that is 4/1 in play, say Swans win. Back on Bet 365 so £50 would pay £200 if Swans win. No loss if swans don't win as it is a risk free bet.
Lay £40 on Betfair - if Swans win you pay out £160. You have gained £40, IE £200 win on bet 365 less £160 loss on betfair. If Swans don't win, there is no Bet 365 loss (risk free bet) and you win £40 on Betfair.
However you need to finance £100 Bet 365 bets and Betfair lays (£37.50 + £160). And Betfair lay odds may not be same as Bet 365 odds to profit will be slightly lower than described above. Then there is small commission on Betfair but overall profit should be £30 or over!

Bet365 t and c's will say you can't guarantee a win by covering all outcomes but in reality they will pay out. In the Chelsea vs Stoke game I backed Chelsea before and the Stoke/Draw in play and they paid the win andcreturned the stake on the losing in-play.

I've gone £50 on Liverpool with B365 and £30 on Swansea with Beftred at 9/2. £50 going on the draw in-play with B365.
Basically accepted winning nothing (well, £6 odd profit) in the hope of the draw (£65 profit) or an away win (£85 profit) banking a bit more.

Done 50 - 50 (inplay) - 20 for liv - draw - swans. Gets profit of 17.50 - 75 - 40. Boylesports (prob others too) have a free bet refund for new customers who lose their first bet, up to 25. Maybe worth putting the third bet on with them for anyone new to this.
Contemplating waiting til 10 mins for the inplay draw, in case there's an early goal. Sound plan, or crap idea?
For the chelsea stoke game I missed the first goal so by the time I put theinplay on stoke, they went to 14-1 - return would have been 750!!

Balls out betting. I have played it safe. Praying for a draw so that I get more than £17 profit.

Moreno would've been my next choice! Need the scousers to see it through. Afternoon drinking then gambling not a good idea!

£50 on Liverpool pre match at 8/11 with Bet 365 and £20 0n Swansea at 4/1 with Paddypower. Gambled on waiting for a goal and got the in play £50 at 9/2 for the draw, if only that had come up but at least you get it back. £16.37 profit and I managed to claw back £3.60 on the Paddypower cash out so really just under 20 notes profit. Obviously not retiring this week but it's free money after all and if the result had been different had the potential for a nice little wedge.

£30.50 profit from last night.
Won £35 on B365 - £50 on liverpool pre match @ 1.70 Lost £37.50 on Betfair by laying £50 pre match @ 1.75
Used risk free B365 bet - £50 on draw in play @ 3.6 Won £33 on Betfair by laying draw in play @ 3.95
Overall profit = £35 - £37.50 + £33 = £30.50. Draw or Swans win would have given similar result. Three important points: 1. If there is a very early goal then the in play lay at Betfair may not work. A very early goal for either side would have seen the draw odds move out thus making the laying of the draw unfeasible. Taking the in play bet at HT can remove this risk but if 1 side is leading, you would need to look at alternative markets to the match odds (eg go for goals > 3.5 etc etc) 2. Odds move quickly in play so the lay odds are likely to be somewhat dearer than the back odds - I got 3.6 backing the draw at B365 but had to lay at 3.95 on Betfair. 3. You need to hold sufficient funds in ya B365 and Betfair accounts to finance the above.
Given the sums involved above, you need to be very very careful. If in doubt, don't do this!

Stoke v United
Took evens on Utd @ £50 (B365) Laid £50 on Utd @ 1.06 (Betfair)
£3 loss pre match accepted but should easily cover this in play. An illustration by a pro gambler on a previous match accepted a £2.50 pre match loss so further 50p in big scheme of things is ok. The in play bet needs to be odds of around 3/1 or better to get a decent return.

I've gone £75 on man u @ evens with betvictor £50 on the draw@ 13/5 with bet365 £50 free in play bet on stoke @ approx. 3/1
a man u win makes £25 profit a draw makes £55 profit a stoke win makes approx. £25 profit, if odds stay at 3/1

I'm going to play these different from now on. Plan at the moment is £50 pre-game on something very likely to happen - like less than 6.5 goals. Then going to give myself a chance of a really decent win with the in-play with a FGS bet or a scorecast. Should still (nearly) guarantee a small profit whilst giving a chance of a really significant win.

I have done the following with £125 staked:
Man U £50 pre game with b365 returns £100 + £50 refund so £150
Draw in play with b365 returns £175
Stoke £25 with bet victor returns £155 + £50 so £155

At least there was one favourable result today - the 1-1 draw which gave the best outcome from 365
Easy come easy go I guess but at least today's game and travel costs were covered by the returns on this 'investment'
Sad really though that this should be the highlight of this afternoon's football

I was reading a bit about why they are doing these offers. One theory is that they are deliberately giving away so much for tax reasons.

Sounds like you are laying off pre match bet in full on Betfair and then laying off part of risk free bet on Betfair. I lost £3 on pre match bet yesterday (see my earlier post on this thread) but made £33.80 on the in play bet. £50 on the draw in-play gave 13/5 on B365, so £130 win. Laid off £37 on Betfair (got same odds ) giving Betfair loss of £96.20. Happy days

Made £80 on it. £50 pre match on Stoke/Man Utd double chance at 3/10 and then put £50 on the draw in-play at 13/5.
