I'd rather stab myself in the eye repeatedly than watch that Cheltenham game again!

Huddersfield was good, a throwback to the days when the ground had a decent amount of people in and we were playing a so-called proper team.

I have enjoyed a few games that we lost,

Mainly because of the great fans we have,

The Arsenal game of course but also Coventry away, Liverpool away, Man City away and even the Wembley and Cardiff defeats.

I think you must be one of the very few Town fans to enjoy that day/game Pete. Utter misery from start to finish for me.

One of my favourite ever games was the 3-2 away defeat to Sheff Wed in the league cup in 97. We went through over 2 legs so it doesn't really count as a proper defeat.

The Liverpool 5-0 away defeat in Jan 1980.

We were good at the time but probably not expected to even score.  Liverpool were a lot better than they are this season.  Big crowd (just under 50,000), good atmosphere and a nice dayout.  Bar the Town fans who got kicked out of the Kop because the Anfield Road end was full.  12,000 Town fans added much to the cracking atmosphere.

We got to Liverpool on one of those football special trains that they put on in the seventies and eighties.
A few of the windows on the train were smashed on the return journey out of Liverpool.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

You obviously missed the pre and post match scrapping then.

The Arsenal game always sticks with me too , great game with some great free kicks from big time Charlie ............. Being a bit of a Spurs fan the 0-3 against them in 91/92 was enjoyable too , Massive crowd  and just showed we needed a 20 goal a season goal scorer , Spurs had 4 chances and scored 3

Batch was poor that day, went walkabout for the first and was easily lobbed for the free kick, different leagues and different times but I think Macca would have done better

I did say mainly because of our great fans Les,

If only Reddy did not go off injured.

If only Parky had been given that nailed on pen....

I can't say I enjoyed that  defeat in Cardiff whatsoever but without any shadow of a doubt our fortunes would have been vastly different had we won that day and got promotion....

Have to agree with les, whole heartedly, that arsenal game was awesome, atmosphere in the osmond electric. Enjoyed that game immensely even though we got beat.
