Of course we do, but today we can only partly blame if Hurst, he set the team up too attack and get the three points, it was the players and the countless number of missed chances which cost us the game. The only thing Hurst made the mistake with was the substitutes.

I've thought again and again and it's definitely Paul Hurst in charge. Therefore as a supporter I will support him and his team. Where do you go when we win - the Streets of Philadelphia?

Hurst is setting us up to be in the playoffs, the board need to grab this opportunity and give Hurst the finance to sign a real quality forward on loan for the rest of the season ( in January ). Let's throw money at it if we are serious about going back to where we belong.

Anyone who expects us to win every game is deluded. Anyone who expects us to play well every week is deluded. Anyone who expects Hurst to get tactics/selection/subs right every time is deluded. Anyone who thinks we have a devine right to get out of this league is deluded. Or there a wind up merchant.
We're a non league side, it's what they do.

1. I expect us to beat the league whipping boys 2. playing well once would be a good start 3. I expect someone who is paid to do a job to do it properly 3. Agreed, but in this league we should be doing a bit better than one step forwards, one step back 4. A wind up toy consistently does the same thing, almost as if they cannot deviate, a little bit like the (ever decreasing) 'blind faith' few who seem overly keen to accept mediocrity.

I think it is what every supporter of the club wants, in fact its what the club needs to succeed in being promoted back to the football league. Although I can't blame it all on Hurst, he does make critical tactical errors of which dont help in sticky situations within games, the club needs confidence, and the players to feel they are the best, to fight for the club and the manager, but I am not convinced that Hurst is the man players want to play for. Personally we need a manager, who is attacking and thinks in a very battling way and never gives up, a carl Magnay type manager we need...

A promotion chasing side is expected to put the bottom placed club to the sword with ease. expected not change the side when they have momentum and have just scored.

I would challenge Fenty to win us promotion this season, or walk away. He has let every fan down in making poor decision, after poor decision and that's why we are where we are. If he leaves Hurst in charge, we will NEVER get out of this league, sack him and we stand a chance. Either way, Fenty should wave goodbye too, if the club fails to win back it's league status this season, enough is enough! So Mr Fenty, over to you, make the right choices for once.

A poll won't solve anything, us all moaning on here won't solve anything, we need to get behind the lads the manager as much as possible because all this bickering won't help anyone. The league is so tight this year any team can beat anyone and were second in the league not too bad seeing as we're not playing our best.

better that accepting the crap that hurst serves up
This bloke will never get us promoted but we are stuck with the idiot thanks to another idiot so sorry to say we have to accept "the crap that Hurst serves up" and just get on with supporting Town and hoping for better next season AGAIN
|
| In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions. Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them. GOD |

IF the teams below us win their games in hand we drop to 6th and Barnet have just increased the points gap to 8 points, at this stage of the season that's not good enough.

Shock horror. Club going for promotion draws away at a club near the bottom. Happens every week in most divisions. Get on with it and move on.

Sure we was midtable and 13-15 points of barnet a little over a month ago, it's been a good few months realistically. People are just angry because we could of had a few more points on the board but if we replicate the last 2 months we will win the league.

I wanted a new manager at the beginning of the season. We didn't get one. Instead we have Hurst who is now obviously fed up of us supporters having a go at him. All I can see is more play off misery happening unfortunately but now is the wrong time to be messing about Getting a new manager. Let's see what happens. If we fail again then someone new for next season please. Someone once told me football is 95% misery and 5% happiness. Maybe our 5% is coming soon!

You are right of course Ronnie. Some of the stuff on here saddens me as a fan of many years. I believe though that it's just that people care so much, and are so desperate to get out of this league, that anything less than 3 points each game feels like a disaster to some.

In comparison Chelsea drew away at Sunderland today, are they suddenly shite and mourinho tactically inept. NO of course not as mentioned in a previous post these results happen in every league and are not that much of a suprise anymore. We can and will move on.

So mate... who would you like to become the club's major financial backer? Who woudl you like to put a few milllion into a club and say "don;t worry, they are not loans which I expect to be paid back" Any names in the frame?
Perhaps not I would reckon...so the club folds then does it?
I respect people have opinions but I am just interested who you would suggest takes over from Mr Fenty?

It saddens me that people care much more about a defeat than a win. It saddens me that Hurst will never be more than one game away from a barrage of abuse. It saddens me that over the past 25 years of being a town fan there's always been a scapegoat. It saddens me that an all time scapegoats 11 would p1ss this league. Most of all it saddens me that there is a negative cloud which permanently hangs over the club. It was there in the Buckley days, it was there under Slade and it will be there until people understand what support is and accept that we don't have a right to win every game

Most of all it saddens me that there is a negative cloud which permanently hangs over the club. It was there in the Buckley days, it was there under Slade and it will be there until people understand what support is and accept that we don't have a right to win every game
It saddens me that those in charge of this club allowed it to be dragged down to this level and having seen us struggle against the worst side in the division it saddens me that we are likely to be here for some seasons yet.

Kingster 72 I would challenge Fenty to win us promotion this season, or walk away. So Mr Fenty, over to you, make the right choices for once
So mate... who would you like to become the club's major financial backer? Who woudl you like to put a few milllion into a club and say "don;t worry, they are not loans which I expect to be paid back" Any names in the frame?
Perhaps not I would reckon...so the club folds then does it?
I respect people have opinions but I am just interested who you would suggest takes over from Mr Fenty?
It has been known of others, with probably more financial clout and certainly more sense than Fenty, that we're willing to invest in the club, but would not work with JF and therefore will not invest until he leaves. He alone has ruined our club, I don't understand how people still don't see this. The man is an an idiot, look at how he behaves with a young Wrexham fan for good example, his behaviour with the press, such as spats with RH & ET. We should not trust our club with such a childish man, this is why we are 3 divisions down from where we started with him. We shall continue with poor attendances and little hope on the horizon that this will change, whilst he and Hurst remain.

That's a pretty good post.

If this is a reference to Mr Walker then there were several reasons why he chose to walk away and not specific to JF. You say others but I don't recall anybody else publicly stating that they were prepared to invest in the club and if I missed this then maybe you can name them.

Here we go yet again with the mythical investor nonsense. Now, I don't know the man, I disagree with his managerial appointments and his knack of scoring PR own goals. However, he has staked a significant portion of HIS money into the club. I wouldn't have done it and I doubt many others would. Give him a break, one day his luck will change.

If anyone really credible came along with the right money I'm sure JF would be happy to let them have a go. . The simple fact is that as a non league club there isn't a queue of investors , and as a life long fan of gtfc JF isn't going to sell out to any tom male private or Harry . And for that I'm happy with that . Just ask Hereford fans if they'd like a JF in charge or what they've now got .

I sometimes wonder if all this moaning on here is realy ment seriously. Town is SECOND of the table !!!
My team here in Germany , FC St. Pauli Hamburg, started the season with some hope for promotion, but now we find ourselves bottom of the table. But we fans (even on the forums) don't start moaning (at least not that much, what I ca reead on here ...) about this unexpected situation or point fingers at single persons. We make up our minds what we could do to change the fortunes together with the team, the manager, the club. We're all in the same boat.
Being second with every possible outcome of the season is a very comfortable situation, which many teams in all leagues do not have anymore at this time of the year. But still the fans go and support their respective team, even if they play around position 12 or 14 with nothing realy to win or loose. That is football.
I don't think that any fans ever had their share in a championship win or promotion by monaing, but they definetly had it by supporting their team and the persons in charge through thick and thin.
What should the fans of Borussia Dortmund say (yes the club who reached the CL final in 2013). They find themselves bottom of the Bundesliga now, but still have high hopes in Jürgen Klopp and his team and support them as much as ever.
So get behind the team and give them the little bit extra to do the (only) one step more up the table. I would do it, if I lived In UK !!

Still no names kingster72 - is this another example of conjecture/speculation versus cold, hard facts ?

This thread is ludicrous.
We are second in the league.
We've lost 1 in 12 in the league
We've won 6 out the last 9 games we've played
Can we get a grip please
