Me plus 6.

The away end is covered and has a low roof, good for noise generation: bring a friend, not a cannister.

Me plus five. I'll be leaving nice and early from London Euston. Hopefully I'll be returning a little under the influence but with three points secured.

M180, M1, A38, M54. From memory used to do it twice a week. I used to do it in around two hours but I'd allow a bit more with the thousands who will be going from GY.

Google Maps is showing 2hrs 53m from BP to their ground so you could be pushing it a bit.

Will take a bit longer ,there's a long stretch of roadworks (50 mph) on M1. .Think you will be pushing it to get there in much less than 3 hours.

A46 to M1 to start with, if I was going - steady progress - road works between 30 and 27 ish on the M1 and queueing from 31 down to the roadworks with the Worksop turn is atrocious any time of the week currently.

If he doesn't add the A5 (but follows the A38 down to Spaghetti Junction) he will be lucky to do it in 4 hours!

Three and a half hours min from Grimsby to Wellington.

Road works all over the place, no matter which route you choose.

Trust me: do not even bother if you haven't got that amount of time. You might do it quicker, but you'll be putting yourself and others in danger.

Yeah sorry mate-when I re-read it it was a tad patronising. Mind you the A5 can be a sh1t road...

I live Market Drayton and my usual route from Grimsby follows M180, M18, M1 A38, A50 to Stoke eventually picking up A53. towards Shrewsbury past Market Drayton then onto A442 to Telford. I've done Grimsby to Market Drayton in about 2 and half hours, its about 25 minutes the to ground from my house. There are quicker/shorter routes but I think it's a not a bad alternative and the traffic isn't to bad, only negative is that from Stoke there is no dual carriageway. Good luck with the M1 got caught a few weeks ago with the road works.

Walk, it's 3/4 of a mile with pubs on the way.

Bus 44 goes past the ground (Telford Town Centre direction), bus station up the stairs by the station.

Mainly because Leicester isn't on the A1 and if you meant the M1 you would be going a long way south to go north.

If you have to go through Lincoln A46 probably the best route would be Newark then Mansfield joining the A38 there and across Junction 28 of the M1. That would avoid all of the roadworks on the M1.

So much easier travelling by train. You can drink plentiful amounts of alcohol, stretch your legs and even go to the toilet if at all necessary. Yes you can do all three while driving but I would advise against it.

Went in a couple of years ago, it was very busy as was The C0ck which is close by and very difficult to get near the bar never mind served, probably ok if you go earlier though.

Two Real Ales usually on in The Swan (now called Christopher's Bar).

As mentioned earlier The Co-ck Hotel across the road is a Real Ale haven. 30 yards away is The Railway, also like The Co-ck it is in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2014, four ales on in there, eight in The Co-ck.

Wellington town centre has a very good Spoon's and friendly pubs all over. Halfway to the ground from the railway station is the newly refurbished Oddfellows Arms, footy friendly and run by an Everton fan: Real Ale in good nick too.

So plenty of choice for the ale lovers amongst us.

I will be in The Pheasant personally, a new brewpub, not really close to the ground or on the way from the station though.

Great help. Cheers.

We've got Jason Pearcey, number one, we've got the best team in the land...
