I am hoping Hurst will change his negative tactics and go for the win,
If he does I am going for a 2-0 win,
John Lewis , Pittman
Att 2 849 49 from Woking
If he sticks with Parslow in front of the back four,
I do not want to predict.

I haven't seen them play away much but I don't think Woking will try and park the bus and try and contain Town. I saw Woking and Barnet on Saturday. Woking were terrible in the first half but Hill got them playing in the second half and they should have won. They are generally an attacking side, they won't settle for a 1-0 lead like Town they'll press for more. Defensively they are good and well drilled. The squad is small which is maybe what will cost them but at the moment nearly everyone is fit.
There is no away coach or even mini bus for this game so don't expect many away fans!
Hope I am wrong but Woking are playing better at the moment.
Grimsby 0 Woking 2

Woking are a good side, their central midfielder Josh Payne will run the game if we let him and I think we will let him. I'm going for another 2-0 defeat.

Town 0 - 6 Woking if it means a new manager.
If nothing else it will stop the PH outers and the PH stayers arguing over statistics for the rest of the season. But I am sure whatever happens they will still moan.

i really hope we will go at them from the off, no 4-5-1 and attack them, if we go one goal up keep going.
i hope 3-1 town..
but ultimately, i can imagine a loss against good opposition...

This ones a toughie they have some very good players in form....such as Rendall, Payne and Dean Morgan (not sure how they can afford someone like him) but they dont particularly play counter attacking football and we tend to raise our game against good teams. So im going for...
Town 1-0 Woking
3354 (78 away)

I can't believe the number of people saying we could lose because Woking are a good side. This thread reads like a Hurst interview. This is the crappy Conference folks. If we lose it will be because we are a poor side. A team with serious league ambitions should eat Woking for breakfast.

If Hurst puts out an attacking side we will win, BUT If he plays the same formation as Saturday we wont.

This is one of the most down beat reads from this thread I have read for years . How low can we get , Woking I ask you , no history , no fans and we all appear to have given up . After Saturdays performance I can't blame anyone expecting a win or draw . I sais the next couple of games would decide where we will finish in the league this season , tonight is the night for many to decide is it worth it . I predict a draw . 2300 crowd 15 away.

The lack of disrespect people are showing Woking is poor. Do people not realise we all play in the same league there for we are all equal. After Bath, Chasetown, Buxton, Braintree etc you would have thought that the message would have got through to people. But I suppose putting all this pressure on the players helps, no wonder our home record is average with our home fans groaning at every misplaced pass. We are in the conference ffs, what do people expect? The quality off football isn't going to be great if you want results in this league as showed with Fleetwood, Crawley, Mansfield and Luton. Look at the league table at the end of the season and then call for hursts head if we are not 40 points clear like some people are expecting.

No, people don't expect Town to be 40 points clear but we DO expect Town to AIM to be 40 points clear. All this talk about realistic expectations and how good other sides are is counter-productive. This club needs belief, the team needs belief and the supporters need belief that we are too good for this league and deserve to be out of it. If you don't believe you are better than the opposition and brush them aside you will end up being worse than they are.

This season I have not seen a stand out team and overall the standard has been poor. When we have played to our capabilities we have shown we are one of the best. Not done it often enough though. Anybody can beat anybody in this league which is why it is very tight (Barnet excepted but I have not seen them play). People are naming 2 or 3 Woking players to watch out for, but remember we have a few they need to watch out for too. 2-1 win for Town.

Grimsby have a better record against Woking than any other team in the club's history (4 games minimum). http://thefishy.co.uk/story.php?id=80562671-0 Shop
Plus when I made the trip up to see Town play them last season, We won 5-1, I am feeling more confident by the minute.
