Is the general consensus that all we need is a proven goalscorer. Clearly Hannah is both out of form and, to an extent, out of favour but is there anywhere else we need to strengthen?

Our lack of wing cover worries me and I'm not too impressed by Mackreth and I would like to see another centre mid who gets a bit further forward ie Disley with younger legs. Anyone else?

I think we all have to agree that we do have a much better team than last season, carl magnay, brown and clay have been huge improvements. We do have the best defensive record in the league. We have certainly improved the central midfield.

Therefore I think we need a top striker and a little more time to gel. Paul hurst changes it around to much. If Hannah is going to be our 20 goal striker then you need to stick with him and play 442.

Liam Hearn. Someone who can make a goal out of nothing.

An attacking midfielder with goals in him. Was hoping Paddy was that man but he seems to be out of favour with Hurst.

Hoping Arnold brings a few goals and competition for the wingers/strikers when and if he gets fully fit.

Personally still not convinced we yet have a better team than last year but we have some better players On that I do agree, however, as I commented on another thread last week I believe our midfield lacks creativity as for all Browns effort and Clay's ball winning we do not create that many chances nor have we replaced Disley's goals, as discussed elsewhere. Add to that fact that we lack prolific goal scorers and our wing play still lacks consistency does IMO explain our current problems.

So for me still at least three maybe four short of the the real deal.

One of our best creative spells was when paddy brown and clay were all playing in the middle, however then we're relying on LJL upfront. How about paddy and brown in the middle?

Extra quality options on the wing or in midfield are always welcome but without doubt we need an extremely good forward. Very tough to unearth but imagine Hearn of a couple of years ago playing in this side. Think of the 0-0s that he could have turned in to wins. We'd be extremely close to top spot without having to have played any better.

Yep a striker for me someone who is skillful and tricky and likes to run at defenders.

In terms of players - two strikers and a winger.
