I went for that team because Clay as a bug so I'll dropped him for the game, brought in Disley and paddy one for aerial threat and Paddy for his energy to be a box to box, Hannah up front on his own because LJL is not fit and Oates to come on the last 20 mins.

I was not saying I disagree with you, just saying that will not be the team Hurst will pick,

Disley might get a game if Clay is still under par,

BUT

Unless John Lewis is in bed he will get picked .

Well there will be no new faces...... http://www.grimsbytelegraph.co.....5-detail/story.html?

Perhaps Lord Lucan (or whatever the mystery man's called) decided he didn't want to go to a club where the fans forum is populated by a bunch of tw@ts like us, or maybe Paul/John (whoever manages us) didn't quite have the charm/charisma/cash (delete as applicable).

Bearing in mind we couldn't attract Omar from Solihull, nothing would surprise me!

The most likely reason is that everyone has twigged a loanee striker at Town might get one game to start with but then warm the bench for the rest of his time apart from a few 15 minute cameos when a game is already lost. Might as well stay at home.

Pre match nerves lads? All a bit tetchy isn't it??
Proves you care and are playing for the shirt

Disley will play I think - Hurst needs to batten down the hatches after poor Tuesday result... that's the way he will see it I think

Can't be bothered to pick a team to be honest - there aren't that many alternatives in terms of changing the line up and system

Think we might get turned over tomorrow - they are not too bad at home

Cue pub team cliches, hell hole league etc etc

We should play 4-3-1-2 but we won't. Line up posted on previous threads of this type.

Right. It will be 8-1-1.

Why should he get all the credit. I've been saying this for 3 years.

3 days. pfft! Amateur.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

Whatever the formation, Buckley spot on Tuesday.
Passing teams - and we did try and build for the most part - have to do it at pace and not allow teams to reorganise and pack the defence
We were way too slow Tuesday - ball out wide to Mackreth and Neillson who were in cul de sacs with no space, they then go backwards and we start all over again

We fall between two stools - not good enough at long ball (Hannah and not good enough passing it (too slow)

We murdered Alfreton because we played high tempo and passed it quickly... so we can do it

That's what we don't do enough of - who knows why?

3-5-1-1 or 3-5-2 or switch to 8-1-1... tactical genius

Macca
Toto, Pearson, Doig
Parslow, Brown, Disley, Clay, Magnay
Neillson
Shop

Subs: Parslow, Paddy, Hannah, Oates, Mackreth

Looks far too defensive that formation.
