Tidy ground , good support . To be honest some of the play isn't far off our standard . HD quality filming was very good .

I remember town drawing 2-2 (? at home in maybe 1991. Think they went t1ts up not long after. And think, we've never beaten them

As far as I know, we only played them twice in the 89/90 season I think. We lost 3-2 at home fairly early in the season and then drew 2-2 at Dartford (where they were playing at the time). That game was memorable for a few things. Big Keef scored I think but it took a John Cockerill penalty to equalise for us after Buckley had throw on Mark Lever up front! There was also a fairly big house fire on the estate behind one goal and I remember a load of their fans leaving about 10 minutes from time and going and sitting upstairs on the double-decker buses behind one goal and they watched the remainder of the match from there. The buses had been laid on by the club to take them back to Maidstone after the game.

Two reasons:
The first is because GTFC (and a number of other Football League clubs) got roped into a very lengthy contract with PremiumTV (now known as Perform) who are responsible for providing clubs with an online platform for content. Perform do not give a excrement about design or user experience. This bunch of shysters are responsible for the awful layout of the OS and the terrible Mariners Player set-up, both of which are not fit for purpose. You still can't watch Mariners Player content on mobile devices, which is pathetic in this day and age! Of course Perform don't seem to be bothered about updating it any time soon since they're still raking in the subscription fees and clubs are tied into a cast iron contract with them for the next 3/4 years or so.
The second is thanks to 'GTFC Video', who appear to be behind the highlights for Mariners Player. The person responsible for editing the highlights is pretty inept when it comes to using video editing software and this is why our highlights don't contain fancy overlays / scoreboards / teamsheets / transitions as seen in the video above. It also explains why most GTFC highlights seem to involve two minutes of the team slowly walking out the tunnel (which 99% of people will inevitably skip) before any action is shown. To be honest, even if someone who knew how to use Adobe Premiere properly was putting the highlights together, they'd still look like excrement because the video quality on Mariners Player is so bad (unless the club hosted them for free on YouTube).
Having done wedding videos in the past watching some of those "fancy" overlays, they were actually pretty crap, the stretching of the graphics is old hat and pointless and that transition for replays was really poor as were the lengthy crossfades. At the end of the day no matter how fancy the videos look they still cannot improve on some of the crap we have had to watch these past few seasons.

I I think it's probably been archived and won't be released until next century to protect the general public
