Both games were mental. The home game my mate got a roof slate whacked across his head. And the away game my long standing memories are the fire in the seats behind the terrace and the nutter throwing the corner flag in the away end!

Needed to beat Exeter for promotion in the final game, and gt tat as one of my to 5 too!

Interesting to see the games nominated....Result v Performance.
Some of them I would agree are the greatest Town games of all time others I would put as the greatest Town RESULTS
I did not enjoy the Exeter game, second half was a nightmare, we were not the normal Town and IMO were lucky. That season I thought the Huddersfield game was a lot better and had in effect the same result, because if we hadn't have won it we wouldn't have gone up.


Baldrick ! The only impression you can do is that of a man with no talent !!

Very true. But, we DID win it and got promoted. Therefore making it a great town game!

Don't know if it was supposed to be performance related

Hordes of Town fans - caused huge tailbacks right through Leicester.   Took the Clee Grammar coach. Town took over the entire Spion Kop - I was in a side stand - what a sight and sound from the Mariners!  

Fantastic performance too: I was devastated as only a teenager could be to lose right at the death to an unfair penalty -- which, just to twist the knife further, was scored by a lad who was brought up in Blundell Avenue.
