why make it complicated? Wack a lick of paint on it then get the lads names put on it, simple.
Oh and I'm in Devon and I'm colourblind and useless and drawing/painting so thats me out   ... I've sent my money off towards it though!

On the painting side of things could it not be kept simple at the moment with the lads names on, then after some thought and ideas drawn up go for a decent painting which could take time and money? Please do not just rush into this give it some thought.

Seconded.

It would be nice to do something with all the gates at BP, given time and money to plan it. Best to stick to a simple but fitting tribute for now, I think.

Not sure how difficult it would be to do but how about a painting of the old Barrett Stand gate that used to stand where the Ponny gate stands now? If not possible, a 'nod' to the old Barrett Stand would be good. I know a few fallen Mariners that have walked through both.

You fill up my senses,
Like a barrel of Tetley's,
Like a packet of Woodbine,
Like a good pinch of snuff,
Like a night out in Cleethorpes,
Like a greasy chip butty,
O, Super Black and Whites,
Come fill me again
Na na naa naa naa naaaa TOWN!!
Na na naa naa na na naaaa
Na na naa naa na naaa naaa
Na na naa naa naa naaaaaaa!!!!!

I think if a mural was done very well and included ex players and possibly Hearn then it would be awesome!
