Ahkeem Rose signs for Dover

"Falls to Arnold... Arnold! That's it! Thats it! He's sealed it! Grimsby Town are back in the football league!!! Just a minute to go and Nathan Arnold makes it 3-1! Look at the scenes behind the goal! Look at the relief! The agony is finally over!!!"

I feel like Rose will turn out to be one of those who will never be quite good enough for the football league but will have a good Non League career.

So JJ Hooper and Dayle Southwell then? Though I guess the latter seems to be dropping down the leagues now like Brodie did after being a one season wonder.

Southwell joined National League North side Kings Lynn in January and they got promoted.

Probably a better move for him, from London so always seems more settled in the area compared to anywhere else. Also wouldn't say he was a scapegoat as just not good enough for league football, proven by several teams who gave him chances to realise his potential. He had one good game for us in which FGR went through the motions in a meaningless end of season game. Had one good season in non league on loan and people acted like he was some sort of goal machine we are missing out on.

Sometimes reality isn't what we want it to be and young players don't realise the potential we hope for.

Wasn't with his help though as he barely played.
