Most of my favourite memories are from around the same period, when I was living in GY and had a season ticket -

Going top of the Championship the day England beat Germany 5-1 (also the first time I fingered a girl, what a day that was)
!

Well, I never would have guessed that they would link to each other.

Oh Dear,  what will happen when you finally get your end away?

<'(((((<

When I was a little boy
I asked my daddy what would i be
would I be United, would i be Leeds
Here's what he said to me

Oh Grimsby Grimsby
Whatever will be will be
You'll follow then faithfully
Oh Grimsby Grimsby

Tell me Mam me Mam
I dont want no tea no tea
I'm watching the Grimsby
Tell me Mam me mam

Most of my favourite memories are from around the same period, when I was living in GY and had a season ticket -

John Oster's free kick against Derby. We were all expecting it.

Terry Cooke's fantastic volley in the dying minutes at Norwich.

Pouton ensuring he got the match ball after both he and Boulding had scored hat tricks.

Michael Jeffrey scoring the equaliser against Palace after being 2-0 down after 89 minutes.

Going top of the Championship the day England beat Germany 5-1 (also the first time I fingered a girl, what a day that was)

Muscat getting sent off and then Todd scoring the winner.

Zhang Enhua scoring his first goal for us and then running along the Pontoon.

So many happy memories. Still plenty of time to create a lot more!
What a day. You finger a girl and Heskey scored for England

What a day!

Was a brilliant day. I was on holiday at the time in France, sat in a tiny television room absolutely packed full of England fans. I remember wearing my town shirt with pride the next day and some random man in the toilets congratulating me on going top of the league. I hadn't had any way to check the scores yet so had no idea what he was talking about.

Basingstoke Mariner also had a sexual experience that day as well

The wife was going away for a girly weekend.
I jokingly remarked  'I don't know whether to spend it watching porn or watching football'
'you may as well spend it watching porn' she replied
That's understanding darling what makes you say that? I asked

She said 'Well you already know how to play football'

As I have been fortunately NOT to have seen a Grimsby game for 9 seasons now my random are a little dated and maybe subjected to the odd error!

In no order

1)     Layer Road, Colchester and Ian Knight snapping his leg
2)     Getting a  newspaper  with the match day program at the Ayresome Park, Middlesbrough for the FA cup 3rd round match, and the pictures of  the town players looked nothing like the individual – A great day, for me that was far better than the trip to Wimbledon
3)     Singing “we want Jobson out” with the Southend supporters.
4)     Friday night games in Southend as it guaranteed us a spot on “Saint and Greavsie”
5)     Going to Barnsley in the “Anglo Italian Cup”
6)     David James or Shaka Hislop (has it be one of the two it think it was the latter, pulling off a fantastic save at the Osmond end.
7)     The pre season tour of Scotland in 96 and watching the Olympic Football final with the Grimsby Player at Stirling University and being asked           if we “could look for alternative accommodation” as all the drinking was “disrupting the team’s preparation”.
Losing 6-3 away at Watford in about 1995/6 – Was this the same game when Handyside (shall we say) had some issues in Watford?
9)     A bit of the stand falling down at St Andrews.
10)     The Roker Roar – you just don’t get that sort of thing at sports stadiums these days
11)     Robert Prosinecki – say no more!
12)     Big Keith getting subbed after coming on as a sub
