dont think no one has mentioned 2/3 seasons ago was it, when we got trashed by the gimps 5-1 or 5-0. Slade kept them on the pitch at half time, and it kicked off that day big time, but was a good day out.

Coyne was lucky not to get sent off for handling outside the area
then he saved a pen
Then pouton scored a pen in the last few minutes.
Yes i remember a pub run by a town fan
not sure it was good friday though, it was 18/8 2001,  a few months before we had beaten them 1-0 on easter monday 16/4/2001 when Cornwall scored and conoco blew up!!!!!

you could well be right with easter monday.cornwall scored at the far end just before half time. wba came out, had a shot and 2 corners after which my wife turned round and said ; christ how long is left? 1 of the lads absolutely deapan (& truthfully) said '44 minutes'!

Lincoln Away 1st leg of the play offs, gary jones with the goal, and if i remember rightly Curtis Woodhouse blocking that shot of the line in the 90th minute somehow, and a chorus of Rocky followed until the town fans had left the stadium, the game was a few days after Curtis announced about a boxing career

Donny away at the end of 1971/72. We lost 2-1 (still went up). Crowd that day was over 12,000. My abiding memeory is seeing loads of Town Fans in white butchers jackets, doc martins and silk scarfs tied around their wrists

and the queue of traffic from the College all the way to Donny...

No attempt at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred of the Tory party. So far as I'm concerned they're lower than vermin. Aneurin Bevan.

Great story that. Don't think Wilkie would have been in that team, he'd have been too young.

Quite correct. That team was playing in 75/76. The cup was the Northern Intermediate League Cup.

The aim of argument or discussion should not be victory but progress.

What cloud was that mate?

Best/favourite player I've ever seen at SB btw!

I think from what i recall Hobson basically held the Club to ransom so he could move to Southampton or wherever he left for?Weve had some cracking forwards at BP and Hobson was in my top 5 he usually scored great goals as well rather than tap ins.I think he hit 20 goals in a Season as well and in my years as a fan only 3 others have achieved it Drinkell,Mendonca,Donovan
