I’d give Southgate some credit. Playing Trent A-A was worth a try but didn’t work so he was substituted.
Encouraging Saka to take on Serbian defenders worked wonders in first half, and was subbed when his effectiveness dropped.
Choice of back four following injuries worked well.
We won ffs!

Ye 3 points and move on.
Saka was great first half but was doubled up on in the second half because they could shift across to him as there was no threat from Foden on the left side.

Brighton & Hove Albion for 'stealing' our (FC St. Pauli) promotion-winning coach Fabian Hürzeler with their PL multi-million £££
Fabian Hürzeler for letting this happen ...
He only extended his contract with St. Pauli in May and during the promotion celebrations, he was always telling how he is looking forward to coach the team in the Bundesliga against Bayern, Dortmund etc. . Three weeks later he is gone, leaving the club, in preparation for their first Bundesliga campaign in 13 years, behind without a coach, which consequently makes it more difficult to attract any new players.
Some might say this is professional football. Fair enough, but then these people should stop pretending their deep connections with their club, as it is just another employer for them realy ...
