Brings back memories of a legendary thread which was our imaginary coverage of a game at Darlo?? Which was postponed late. Was very very funny ,including the tracking of the fans coaches up the A1 anyone else remember that? Think we ended up winning about 8-1

Sears is driving forward dangerously from full back. Looks a real threat.

Chance! John Lewis takes aim from 7 yards, only the keeper to beat but unfortunately he's only succeeded in knocking the man off the moon.

The Main Stand roof has just blown onto the pitch, Dave Moore picks it up and puts it back.

He also agrees to hold onto it so the game can finish.

Hurst upset that the main stand (despite its vast experience) has failed to ā€œkeep us shapeā€ā€¦.

Macca is in complete control of his penalty area - no need for centre halves when he's in this form - already saved 3 penalties given away by you know who  ;D

Apologies to our faithful main stand, the problem seems to be that ā€œJohnny come latelyā€ Findus  :), I must admit I glanced up to the roof last Friday and noted some really bad rust eating away at the cross supports

I am blown away by our sudden improvement.  Did anyone get wind of this?  The performance has got the fans very excited.  They have lifted the roof off.

If the man in the moon was sat on a cows bottom he would have been safe.

Which is a significant development as Golfer usually gives the impression that heā€™s snorting Coke.

In the meantime, back at the game, Coke, buoyed by the news that the league is about to make square balls mandatory because the round ones bounce too much, has, with the help of Clifton and Hunt proven the Pythagoras theory, at the same time taking 10 minutes to advance the ball precisely minus 20 yards.

Hurst was heard to say ā€˜Iā€™m proud of the lads. Thatā€™s what I call keeping us shapeā€™. Itā€™s a shame that the ball ended up in the back of our own net, the move having started in our penalty box, but hey, itā€™s all about taking the long term view.

This btw is what happens when you get to Donny station only to find the game is off, and have to take refuge from the conditions in the Draughtsman bar. Titanic Reserve Plum Porter (6.5%) highly recommended šŸ¤Ŗ

The League have taken the decision to extend the rules on subs to 10 allowed for the final 20 minutes

Hurst has turned down the chance to give Scannell and Grant Minutes for match fitness

Reminds me a bit of the Monty Python sketch where a load of Ancient Greek philosophers play a game of football using logic to work out how to score.

Is that the one where Lenny missed a chance despite it being on a Plato?

Dave moore must be pleased the game is drawing to a close after his heroic efforts in holding the entire of the Main Stand roof in place for much of the game, and he is still only in his shorts!

Into the 36th minute of added time and town have made it 2-0, McKeown with a header at the far post from a Mcatee cross, celebrating cupping his ears at the crowd. Mckeown has been dominated in both penalty boxes this afternoon.

Macca did say he wasn't going to stay on his line just incase the crossbar snapped off . I noticed he caught everything in the air today, tesco bags, crisp packets and even a low flying pigeon that was trying to make it's way to the pontoon rafters.

And the young German substitute Marx has scored.

The Greeks are arguing it is not a goal. Itā€™s just an a priori concept.
