Mike Dean was absolutely awful today refereeing the North London derby.

Is football SO rotten in this country, or are the highest paid officials just incompetent?

Luckily for football, The Gunners managed to play some pretty inspirational football, thus blotting out Dean's influence on the outcome.

Elsewhere: Jordan Pickford  :K)

The game will have gone down well in North London and with the international punters. Nice to see Arsenal do their bit for the national team too,  I believe they had an English player on the pitch.

Conversely I thought the Merseyside Derby ref was good today

Agree, I always feel Dean wants to make the game about him.

Both England keepers make howlers this weekend that gave away a goal and gave a late win to the other team.  And both in critical games.

Besides Pickford, Dean Henderson playing for Sheffield United cleared straight to a Leeds player giving them a gift and a late winner.

Both errors are out of character though.

Didn’t realise the Tranmere-Southport game was on live.
