After today's performance he's got bigger things to tin about than pointless statements about pipe dreams.

The only action Fenty should be taking is writing off his loans and permanently dissociating himself with the club. The bloke is a lead weight around the club's neck.

Are we going to ignore the fact fans overwhelming backed Jolley's appointment. I'm no Fenty fan, but on this appointment its clear there's no winning for him.

There's clearly a number of players who were targeted who chose not to join us for whatever reason but these players were either signed or re-signed by this manager under the financial allowances set by the board. Ultimately, the board have overseen this fuckingshambles for fifteen fuckingyears - but this is his squad.........and I've just heard him say he believes in them.

Can't blame JF for everything, manager and his crew plus players are responsible for delivering on the field simple as, we were all in awe of Jolleys performance last season, seems like another false dawn

I dont blame Fenty for this one.. jolly clearly knew what to say to Fenty and to the fans, this is different to what he was capable off. Not sure if true but Jolly was about 6 choice after being turned down by others or others that wanted real pay . His back was against the wall and running out of time. And Jolly pulled the wool over everyones eyes and got the job, And made a few jobs for his mates . and as they all contribute to this shed load of poop they should all go

Apart from Ipswin nearly everybody on here wanted Jolley.

We can not blame Fenty for this one.

When we went to Cambridge last season Jolley was in the stand,

I wonder where he will be this time round.

I hope in the dug out because that would mean he has turned things round.

Jolley performed miracles last season, however has our owner really given him the funds to bring in real quality, considering how poor we are and being undone by Stevenage, I would guess no.

I think the blame lies with Fenty because he kept Slade all the way through the January window. We didn’t spend any money and let some of our better players leave.
Then he sacked Slade and could’nt get a proven manager in. Let’s not forget that Jolley was at least 4th choice. By the time he was appointed their were very few other options.
As popular a choice as Jolley was with the fans, he wouldn’t have got the top job at any other Football League club.

Let’s not forget the architect of the horrendous circumstances that led to the Jolley appointment.

To be honest we had some of Fenty's "football fortune" at the back end of last season, majority of games against teams around us, so were just as cack as us, the referees awarded us a few pens, which thankfully Rose put away, so basically all our stars were in alaingment. It was obvious we couldn't score in open play so in the close season we should have spent a bit on a striker even if it meant sacrificing squad numbers.

Jolley has got about 15 less than Slade had at one time.

Of course Fenty is culpable. He's the one holding the purse strings. The lack of funds is almost certainly why we didn't get the calibre of striker (and other positions) we desperately and obviously required.
However, saying that Jolley has dramatically failed to live up the hype and hope he instilled in most of us. Yes, he's been unlucky with injuries but is that just a convenient excuse for a disastrous start to the season?

It's all well and good getting rid of the manager and the owner but who fills the vacuum and for how long?
Stick with MJ and his team and help him build the project.
No one can have everything they want now every time. Can we not go with it and stay with them for longer than September?
Poor performance needs more support than good and it ain't easy to do

Fuckthe project. What is the project? Save as much money as possible to pay off the loans? 5 points out of 27 suggests the 'project' isn't working. No shots on target against mid-table opposition is not only not good enough, it's f*cking embarrassing.

I'll just add that there's a world of difference between coaching Premiership U21s where results are almost irrelevant and managing/coaching in League 2 where every point counts towards a club's survival. Truth is that Jolley & Limbrick look like the former rather than the latter.

Exactly, U21's at prem clubs are coached to move up into the first team, taught tactics,style etc, nobody cares about the result.Always easier to coach kids who are ambitious for the prem riches then senior pros who believe they have been there and bought the tee shirt. The old adage show me your medals stands for more than show me your coaching certificates.

I think it's a good point the robots in the academies at these big clubs are conditioned from an early age to follow instructions, game plans, shapes, formations etc... and I would suggest have more technical ability than the journeymen who land in the basement division.

Does anybody know or could find out Jolley's record at Burnley running the under 23 team ?

I don’t think it matters to much tbh, I’m reliably told that training is modern interesting and structured but that’s all well and good but if the players lack quality. He should be getting more out of them for sure but I’d like to see the wage bill compared to others in our league I think we’re lower end but please put me right if it’s not the case

The good old 6 month rolling contract has saved us a few £'s in the last year. See Fenty does know what he's doing!!!

How many targets of Jolley's wish list did he get though?

My guess is he was given a meagre amount and told not a penny more.

That leaves no room to negotiate for that decent striker for instance hence the need to try different tactics.

Looks like Jolley will need to find another rabbit at least he SHOULD get time to do that.

They are professionals and need to come off the training pitch every day having tried to be the best player at training, then transfer it to a match day. All of them have to be aiming for the Man of the Match award before the game starts. Dominate their opponent, be the best player on the pitch, not looking around to see who will bail them out if it doesn’t go well.

Said it previously but MJ believes our budget is at best, in the 4th quartile. Puts it in perspective a little.

Batten down the hatches and let’s hope we give it a real go on Saturday, not to keep it tight, not to stay in the game until the last quarter, but try and blow them away from minute one!

And, as Pete says, yes the majority was behind jolley and happy with the appointment but here we are, 9 games in and ask yourself, what has achieved...?..
Killed the optimism by saying we needed to kerb our enthusiasm, killed the optimism by not getting a proven goal scorer through the door, keeps playing players out of position, allows what is arguably our 2 quickest and shining starlets to go out on loan rather than blood them into our first team.
Killed the optimism with playing Collins at the rear who is clearly now better kept as a back up incase either Whitmore, Davis, Famewo get injured...
So, with what have seen.of the jolley revolution so far has dampened our spirits and many of us have had a change of heart and a bloody good dose of reality....we rode the crest of a wave but are now sinking fast, time to either hope the tide subsides and he gets afloat again or cast him aside, bring in a tried n tested manager at this level before it's too late...

Sorry to disagree but a manager lives and dies by results.
If he gets poor players playing as a team, they an produce results.
Results breed confidence and so by nature the poor players improve.
An upward spiral.
Lack of confidence produces a downward spiral.
Give them time and support.

Mr Jolley works extremely hard at managing this club and hard work usually pays in the end it can also be infectious so given time and the ball falling for us i do believe we will get there . I hope ?

I don't doubt for a moment that Jolley is working his balderdash off at managing GTFC, I am just concerned that he's not very good at it!
