Hated it here but now obviously loves playing in front of small crowds....idiot.

The club didn't want to go anywhere Gav - that's why we signed you.

And I for one hated him being here.

I was just thinking the same mate.

He seemed happy enough when doing cringeworthy press conferences with Bignot.

I hope our current manager and players rise above this tosh

Bignot for most of Gunning’s time here to be fair.

He’s just a wind up merchant, let’s not lose sight of the fact that they have struggled all season as well. Strikes me that he’s the kind of player that w@nker Cooper likes.

I hated his stupid dancing , his stupid clown like attitude and i hated his awful 60 yard aimless hoofs.

We signed you gavin as you quite rightly put when we were going nowhere and were happy to be in the league , put it this way buddy if we hadn't got rid of you we might not have stayed in the league.

But times have changed and we are going places while you play in a village in front of 2000 fans and thank god you wont be along for the ride.

Most players of recent times have loved it here. Says more about him that it does us.

I like the way he said that we didn't suit Chris Clements as hes a footballer and we just hoof the ball forward!

I have no doubt that we're capable of being outside of the bottom six in L2. I also have no doubt that Gavin Gunning is not capable of being outside of the bottom six in L2. For what it's worth Gav you are one of my least favourite Town players of all time, up there with Beagrie and Brodie.
Posted by: Kris2, May 3, 2018, 7:46pm; Reply: 18
Just another horrible chav in the same mould as Brodie and Pell. They all seem to end up on our books at one time or another for some reason. He's just like the guy down the pub with a chip on his shoulder who winds people up and spoils for a fight. Hope we wind him up enough so he loses it and punches somebody again.

Not fit? Who's faul was that Gav? I guess being forced vegan now means you can't eat so many pies.

"I didn’t feel it was a club that wanted to go anywhere and  they were just happy just to be in the league."
Sounds just like Fentys ambition.

Sour grapes!!...dumped by us for being shite, fat and lazy..about as welcome as a fart in a space suit this tripe he's said....to be perfectly honest is it really worth a thread of it's own?....feel like I'm wasting good time writing this!!...could be poling my eyes out with twigs, be more fun than watching that knob wearing the black n whites of the mighty GTFC!!

I actually agree with Gav
I hated it whilst he was playing for us to!

I thought he was a complete knob when he played here and that just confirms it.

Glad he’s said that, with Saturday’s match a dead rubber I was concerned there’d be nothing to get the fans going, so a big thanks to that boss-eyed twit as he can now expect a good round of felicitations from me at least.

It's just part of the circus. I wouldn't worry about it.

Absolute liability for us, and probably still is for FGR. They sure are a club going places.
Posted by: golfer, May 4, 2018, 7:50am; Reply: 29
Sounds like a title boxing match where the fighters hate each other and then kiss each other after the fight. He'll say he didn't really mean it after the fifth goal goes in

What a tool. Sent off in only his second game for Vale after leaving us, a challenge described as 'extremely stupid' by his manager, that phrase probably sums him up.
Dumped by Vale as soon as his January contract expired then making the move to play with the Veggies, I'm 100% sure MJ wouldn't even have given this guy the time of day.
The tool.

Let's not kid ourselves by thinking that the majority of players who have been at GTFC since we regained our league status have enjoyed their time here. Players do talk, and the football family is a lot smaller than you'd think. Whatever is thought of GG, it does highlight a problem that hopefully MJ can counter with his persuasive smooth talking persona. It will be Jolley convincing players to play for him rather than GTFC the club that will be the key this summer. If we can pick apart how the club is run from the outside, it won't be too hard for players to take up a similar view by being on the inside day to day..

True, but you rarely read about these things because the player just gets on with his career. The pro-footballing world is a small one, try not to make enemies along the way or it will catch up with you some day.
Such a pointless article, sounds like he's as unprofessional off the pitch as on it.

This at Crewe remains one of the worst things I’ve seen a town player do.

[tweet]830797098702479362[/tweet]

He’d had the urine taken out of him all day, throughly embarassed from minute 1, so at 5-0 down with about 2 minutes left, he tries to decapitate a young lad. The bloke’s a shitehouse.

It`s been crystal clear for all to see something is not right for some players since on or around gaining Promotion back to the league. However that hasn`t stopped Town attracting them here the GG of this World are everything that`s wrong with the game these days and glad we got rid. We have had Martin Butler,Barry Conlon,Peter Sweeney and countless others who just came here to steal a wage and exploit our football club we don`t want them here. The Club needs to reward loyalty though when they have a player willing to go the extra mile for the cause and do work within the community like a Pearson,Arnold,Mckeown they should be suitably rewarded to aid retention.

That should be posted on the FGR board, before they start to shape him into some wacky, passionate, gives it his all 'geezer'.

just remembered one of the positive comments that a supporter of his former Scottish team sent down soon after he joined us....something along the lines of ;

"he's ace, he can header it for miles" !!

Pretty much sums his ability for me.

He hated it because he was unfit? Ok, you’re fault.

He hated it because of the travelling? Ok, another example of Bignot not having any experience or proper thought process in place when signing all these players who live in the midlands.

He hated it because we were happy to be in the league? Ok, maybe he’s got a point here.....but to be fair, it was our first season back in the league after 6 years, of course we were! And it’s not as if FGR are chasing promotion.

Sour grapes that he was released from an awful footballer, awful defender and awful person. VGR deserve him.
