As Saturdays match is a " Dead Rubber " I suggest the following.................

How can you charge supporters full price for a game where most of the players wont be giving their all ??  £18  to watch sub standard football ? Lets face it even when we do give 100% at home it still aint that good

Imagine going to the Cinema only to be told by someone walking out having just watched it  " I wouldn't go watch it mate Half the Top Actors leave half way through the film and the rest just don't look interested "  Would you still go in a pay your £10 ?? I doubt it .

Im going to be told to get in the real world and get loads of abuse AGAIN ! Ok but the laugh is on me  if you want to pay good money for a sub standard product then good for you .
All I demand is 100% every time I go to BP , I rarely get it though ........................

As everyone seems to accept it is a 'dead rubber' then you have a choice, as always

I would suggest that if the club were to reduce the price on Saturday because the players weren't going to give 100% or watch sub standard football there would be a lot out there demanding a refund for many of the shite games we have had to endure at home these past 12 seasons or so.

Its a great point but it is not widely perceived that the Match really doesn't  matter on too many occasions ............. As Saturday is one such occasion I feel something should of been done to thank the Loyal 2500/3000 who turn up every week regardless .....................

Interesting as approaching 2000 of them are season ticket holders. What do you propose? I'm all ears.... 8)

Would a point from this game give us our highest total in this league, maybe there is something to play for?

There's everything to play for surely. Players will be wanting to go out to try to nail a place in the playoffs.

Also, ticket stubs could become important for the 2nd le of the playoffs

Exactly ,when it comes to the 2nd leg at home and it looks like we have a good chance of going to Wembley,

There will be 10,000+ fans wanting tickets.

Extremely harsh on this season's squad. A lack of effort is not something you can accuse them of.

How about laying on some extra entertainment at half time like cheerleaders, drinking contests, pin the tail on the donkey?

Personally it doesn't bother me if i was to pay for full price for a ticket after all the money is going to the club which to me is the important thing even if its a dead rubber or a nothing game.

I very much doubt there will be a problem in getting tickets for Wembley.  Play off semis might be a bit difficult but there'll be plenty of capacity at Wembley. We only sold 30,000 for the AWS.

I meant the semi final second leg at home,

Even I know Wembley will be half empty at least,

Unless we get Bristol Rovers then there will still be thousands of empty seats.(wheelchair)

So what about if grimsby finished mid table? Or you supported a mid table team that had nothing to play for during the last 5-10 games. Would you just think ahh intercourse it. Or would you continue supporting your team because it's the game you love?

I would continue to support them unless the Manager wasn't putting a Team out capable/interested in winning a football match

Lack of effort ?  I never said that !!!   100% effort  in some this seasons home games has not been achieved IMO

I'm sure people will be buying tickets regardless to get the stubs for the play offs games early tickets and all that?

I disagree, that's a lack of effort. I don't think you can accuse them of that.

You're right with the second point Woz but I doubt the way the players perform will make any difference at all to the team selection for the playoffs. Even if Hannah scored 6 on Saturday he will only be on the bench for the first playoff game won't he? This last match will give a bit of match fitness for the subs in case of injuries or suspensions but that's all.

The team have done themselves and the club proud to get so close to winning the title so deserve a big crowd on Saturday to build for a successful play off and hopefully promotion . We'd stand a far better chance going in on the back of a good win in party atmosphere than a 0-0 in front of 3000

To the lad on the away coach who suggested to me that we would win our last 5 matches of the season... Erm, we did not quite manage it, as I predicted!

Doh! Sorry Pete. Misread/misthought (if that's a word) what you wrote.  :B

Mind you, even if we get Rovers there'll still be at least 30,000 empty seats even if they take 40,000.
