I've been getting the club text alerts for many years but haven't had any since the final score v Chester.  Did that result cause them to go on strike??

Anyone else had this issue and / or know how to get re-started?

Paul Hurst brought the texting mobile phone off at 2-0 up and replaced it with tin cans with string

Since Chester the texts are jammed on automatic:

I understand this text messaging service was set up many years ago, but now we all seem to have the internet on our phones I'm wondering why anyone would still subscribe to it?

Not having a go at those who do, just curious.

It's true that I don't need it all the time but if I have to do something else on a Saturday afternoon (for the sake of family harmony) it's a way of hearing about goals without sneaking a look at my phone every minute or so.  I'm on a family holiday next week and won't be able to stay in touch with games, so texts were my lifeline.

Normally I know about signings right away.  This week I come on to the Fishy on the way home and wonder why there's a thread about a Kidderminster player.

So yes it's a bit old fashioned but handy at times!!
