He has been heading across for extra training sessions with the premier league club.

It still would be a good idea to have a part-time coach here for match days if you ask me.

Another opinion might help James develop too. Perhaps an other idea would be to film James throughout the match so that Hull can analyse.

Nearly got me with that...  ;)

They mentioned on RH last night that he was going over to Hull for coaching.

Just thought there'd been another development since I heard about it but seems I fell for it!

Good move for him and the club set up - financially viable and quality training to the highest possible level - win / win !!

Absolutely bricked it when I read the title.... This makes a lot of sense.

Boooooo that's just a nasty thread title!! Got me for a second   :B good news for Mckeown and I think he could really progress that extra level with continued help from Croudson. Let's just hope that Hull don't use this opportunity to poach him because he really has the ability to play at the top level IMO and they will see this

Hull will be able to run the rule over him good and proper. What's their keeper situation like?

They've got quite a strong line up there

Scotland's N° 1 Allan McGregor is first choice keeper

Steve Harper is the back up

Eldin Jakuopovic is third on the list (think he was an Orient favourite when on loan there last season)

Gary Walsh is the goalkeeping coach

So doubt we'll be losing him any time soon...good move though him using their facilities and talent if it keeps him on top of his game imho

Looks like he's been receiving coaching from Mr Soft.

You need to get a job with the Sun with headlines like that it would challenge their "GOTCHA"  ;)

I did suggest this when Croudson first went to Hull. Good to see it actually happen.

That gave me a [Hull accent on] rail freight. [Hull accent off]

Thanks for putting my mind at rest.

Am I the only one who still thinks he flaps quite a bit at corners?

If he gets injured at a critical part of the season (all matches are critical) we may stand a chance of one of their keepers on loan

I dont know what to think about this setup.  Im happy that McKeown is back with Croudsen as I doubt Gary Walsh will be coaching but would much prefer if he was being coached here.  Oh well what ever floats there boats.

If he's getting the best possible coaching then great stuff.

Best coaching we can afford/arrange. Probably not the best possible, but then we are only a Conference side!

Good of Steve Bruce to be happy for him to train over there a couple of times a week as I'd imagine some Premiershite managers wouldn't be as accommodating.

Well yes, that's what I meant!

Already noticed a vast improvement to his kicking and distribution he's now looking to set up moves with a quick throw instead of the aimless high hoof to opposing teams big defenders. Even a low flat kick into space for the front lads to run onto is a better option.

When he got to the ground they told him that it was "no smirking" anywhere within the grounds.

Have I got to be miserable all the time then asked McKeown.

No you are not alone. His lack of ability to come and take crosses is still his biggest weakness. Mind you if he could he wouldn't still be here......
