I'anson hasn't travelled. I guess with the current squad you get injured or suspended you're fighting for your place again. Great bench. Very attacking.

Fit now apparently... Wood don't know why he hasn't made the bench, not hard of any injury...

Yep you've probably got to go back 14 years or so to find a similar situation, those not making the squad will have to bide their time.

It doesn't sound like we've been brilliant, but let's keep this in perspective. We've not been terrible. We've gone there, scored early and created a few more opportunities to extend out lead. After that we've not been great, but given that Barrow are excellent at home this has been acceptable.

Sounds like our early season away games, when we have taken the lead, had one or two chances for another and then fell away to concede.

We need to re-group and look afte the ball better.

1-1 sounds fair so far but we should have got that second and put them under more pressure.

How many sitters has Elding missed this season? Seems to be a bit like Hearn at the start of the season.Let's hope he finds his shooting boots soon.

I respect Tondeurs knowledge and all that, but he is in a very privileged job, one that most Town fans would love to have, and he's overly negative most of the time to the point where it really does annoy me. Obviously he's been through the excrement too, but FCS, lighten up JT!

I'd rather JT not over praise the players when they are not on top of their game !

Chris Casper is spot on with his commentating tonight without the players deserving it tonight !

Need some quality on a pitch that cutting up badly, according to the commentators!

Lincoln now 2 up against Southport, Fleetwood now 3-1 up !

I think due to our appalling start to the season that we can no longer take a draw from our tough away games. Got to go for the win if at all possible.

T'is true. Tondeur is a genuine fan and has suffered along with the rest of us for 10 years so he is always pessimistic.

Gained a point on Southport and Gateshead after a tricky away game. Not bad.

Unbeaten run continues.

would you have taken a point 95 mins ago????
Posted by: upthestripes, January 24, 2012, 9:37pm; Reply: 310
Ah well, we went to a difficult place & didn't lose.
Posted by: sonofmadeleymariner, January 24, 2012, 9:37pm; Reply: 311
its still a point away from home but damn we could of done with that win, oh well new winning run to start against telford
Posted by: Theimperialcoroner, January 24, 2012, 9:37pm; Reply: 312
Late Kiddy equaliser.
Posted by: aldi_01, January 24, 2012, 9:37pm; Reply: 313
In the grand scheme of things a point away is very good...still unbeaten and scored goals...excrement we conceded and late equalizer but sometimes its harder to play against ten than with ten...
Posted by: immariner, January 24, 2012, 9:37pm; Reply: 314
I'd have taken it before the game but we shouldn't be hanging on after being 1 up against 10 men with such little time left in the game.

Ah well, point's a point and we keep our unbeaten run going.
Posted by: Swansea_Mariner, January 24, 2012, 9:38pm; Reply: 315
Well you can't win them all, freak luck at the end undone us, but we've made up a point on both Southport and Gateshead so not all bad.
Posted by: craigy, January 24, 2012, 9:38pm; Reply: 316
really needed to of won that with gateshead and southport slipping up
Posted by: Les Brechin, January 24, 2012, 9:38pm; Reply: 317
Oh well. I think most of us would have taken a point before kick off. No real ground lost and I doubt anyone expected Kettering to beat Gateshead.

Good result keep ur chins up we aint lost, infact that could be the biggest away point to date !

YES we should have won but come on guys they are a good side at home !
Posted by: Jonaldo, January 24, 2012, 9:38pm; Reply: 319
Should be beating teams that go down to 10 men. Its disappointing.
Posted by: Fishfinger, January 24, 2012, 9:38pm; Reply: 320
one moment we're 2 points away from the play-offs, about 5 minuted onwards we're 5 points off

I suppose this shows how far we've come...in tthe early months of the season 2-2 away would have had us jumping around with delight...it does now but we are frustrated because we know we can win any game we play in...
Posted by: Les Brechin, January 24, 2012, 9:39pm; Reply: 322
Southport lost too and Kiddy and York drew so not all bad. Just a shame about the circumstances really and Wrexham miss an injury time penalty at FGR too.

Good result tonight. Well done Town. Pleased with a point against the 2nd strongest home side in the division.

Keeps the run going with AFC Telford and Ben Futcher to welcome to BP on Saturday!!!!

Better than a loss, always going to be a tough game on a lousy pitch, but should have put K H-M on to run at them late on against 10 men !!

Other results not bad for a change - move on !! learn !!
Posted by: ginnywings, January 24, 2012, 9:40pm; Reply: 325
How flipping frustrating was that?

I suppose a point there is a good one but we didn't half let them off the hook.

Just like last season, when a chance comes along to move in on the top,we blow it.AAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!

Should have brought KHM on to stretch them IMO but the unbeaten run goes on and we can't have too many complaints.

Always gutting to concede in the last minute but I'd have taken that before the game with their home record. No ground has been lost.

exactly..

they have one of the best home records in the league and we keep our unbeaten run going..

lets be positive and get down to bp saturday and get another 3 points which would turn out to be a very good week.

It's a marathon not a sprint...don't wanna peak too soon and Southport appear to be on the slide as do Gateshead so we just need to stay unbeaten...could any of us have predicted a run like this in October...
Posted by: Madeleymariner, January 24, 2012, 9:42pm; Reply: 329
Should of held on really and at ht I would have been happy with a point, but it now feels like we lost when its actually a decent result
Posted by: upthestripes, January 24, 2012, 9:42pm; Reply: 330
It's not a bad result but you can't help feeling gutted at conceding so late on when we were sounding comfortable.

A draw will be viewed as ok if we win on Sat.  Can't win every game.  Would have taken this before the game. York and Kiddy drew so no damage.  Just a game less to catch up.

Sounded as if top defenders Miller and Townsend struggled at times tonight against a tricky and tall attacker respectively.

Elding and Artus did not have the best of games either.  Thanoj was getting all the praise.  Well done.  We have an emerging talent there.   How do we accommodate the hard midfielder that we need?  Or change a winning team?

Such a shame, would've been another huge victory. It's a decent point but to have won at Cambridge and Barrow (both who at time had 2nd best home record for season) would have been massive.

After results tonight - we'd have been officially only a win away from 4th place!

So gutted but could still end up being an important point at a difficult ground...
Posted by: Fishfinger, January 24, 2012, 9:43pm; Reply: 333
I suppose the winning streak had to end at one point...
Posted by: RoboCod, January 24, 2012, 9:44pm; Reply: 334
It's a good result in itself, I just can't help but think we tried to see the game out when we should have slung on KHM and secured the game by doing what we do best, score another goal.
Posted by: BlackBoots, January 24, 2012, 9:44pm; Reply: 335
Wrexham lost away from home ( and missed a 96th min penalty), Gateshead lost at pennyless and managerless Kettering,Telford were 2 up away and drew 2-2.

Good result for Town.

Lets see as many as possible at Blundell Park on Saturday. The players deserve huge support

Yer with other results, it went our way, we just hope mansfield loose their next game
Posted by: LH, January 24, 2012, 9:53pm; Reply: 337
Good result I'd say, just disappointing. We're still on a hell of a run, no excuses not to be at BP on Saturday.
Posted by: Sinclair13, January 24, 2012, 9:59pm; Reply: 338
This was never going to decide anything and we all would have taken a draw at start. It's the games against the likes of York, kidderminster etc that wil see us make big steps. Utm
