Well done to the trust and GTFC for getting stagecoaches to provide buses after the final whistle both afternoon and evening, it’s a great initiative especially in the evenings when travelling home on buses is awful

Sounds good...but two routes...only one bus each way....i didnt see on the article any costs or is it free if you flash your ticket ?
Imagine waiting at the fourth or fifth stop on the route only to find its full and you are left scrambling for an alternative.
Plus as they are fairly used routes what stops anyone waiting for another bus just using it to get somewhere else on the route.
A park and ride arrangement or fewer pick up points may make more sense to me.

I am told that all other scheduled services will run as normal. These are additional services.
I assume the 18 and 78 services will drop off only after leaving BP?
Cost will be the same as every other journey ( aren't they to be capped at £2? )

I feel this is a good move.

Granted it is only one bus per way, however it is better than nothing? of course the other service buses will still run as normal so its unlike if one if these buses are full then you will be stuck! You can simply hop on one of the other services which you would have done anyway before this scheme even existed? So I don't see any disadvantages or inconvenience this could cause anybody? It could also depending where you live save you from having to get 2 buses as you could just get this bus!

It also somewhat eases the pressure on the normal service buses even if only by a little bit.
