I think given the games he could’ve missed with an extended international break, those 2 fixtures are relatively kind ones.

We’ll no doubt miss him, but I’m glad it’s not 2 promotion favourites we’re playing.

There's no obvious replacement; you can't chuck Catchpole in, and we don't have another natural 6.  Feel it may be Walker or maybe Shelton?

We've got plenty of midfielders with a lot of experience in Walker and Shelton. Artell will surely have already considered this eventuality. It might be that our line-up has to change a fair bit as the style changes if Cook is unavailable for any stretch of time which unfortunately seems quite feasible.

Wonder if young Cartwright fancies a couple of games there? Has played centrally for Boro u21s, looks to have a good touch, vision and is calm on the ball.

Good fit if he can mix it with the opposition. I had to double-check his height, as he looks much taller than 6' 1". Must be because he's slim and with that haircut of his.

Presumably Shelton will take up the “6” position in his absence - at times on Saturday it looked like we were playing with two 6s.

It’ll mean more game time for Doyle.

Cook is the main worry as discussed elsewhere. If he’s injured for a length of time then we’re seriously light in that position.

Morgan isn’t the answer going by his 45 minutes vs Cheltenham.  Might the free agent market be worth exploring? I see Will Keane is without a club…
