I think Shelton is more likely the top choice to accompany Green given we were after him at the beginning of the summer and Doyle is very inexperienced.

Very noticeable that 8 of those listed as midfielders/forwards are 21 or under and therefore with very little experience of League football. Artell has bet on youth with a handful of experienced players to go alongside them. Let's hope it works out!

Also noticeable that the failure to score and stop goals wasn't down to those youngsters last night, though as I mentioned, they seemed to have a heck of a lot of space down our right when Morgan was on the field. He's definitely an attacker more than a player thinking about his defensive duties.

Admittedly, Accrington's style of play is to work positions to get crosses in and we weren't in a position to attempt to block too many of them on the night.

So we have got 28 players . 24 if you say Auton, Catchpole and Brown are making up the numbers for now and write Lavelle off The rest will all have aspirations to play and that seems a lot to keep happy.Personally woukd have been happy with less but a couple with more experience to fine tune an already promotion challenging team

Aren't Shelton and Cartwright wrong way round, with Shelton being a 6/8?

Plenty of depth on paper but if Cook gets injured who plays up front? Andrews is sidelined and Gardner's the invisible man at present.
Right hand side still lacks quality. We had it in JDS but since then Burns, Justin and Finch have all been tried there with limited success.

Justin has done OK, and Finch has jumped 2 levels so give him a break, he'll be fine once he settles in.  He's only had a game and a bit.

Morgan or Finch i guess and we would have to adapt with  less long ball .
